Reliable and Long-Lasting Rechargeable AA Batteries
The Amazon Basics 8-Pack Rechargeable AA NiMH Batteries have been a fantastic addition to my household. Iโve swapped out most of my regular disposable batteries for these, and I couldnโt be happier. They charge quickly and hold a charge for a surprisingly long time, making them perfect for everything from remote controls to toys and even my camera. The fact that theyโre rechargeable is a huge bonus, both for the environment and my wallet. Iโve used them several times already without noticing any drop in performance, and theyโve been holding up well after multiple charging cycles. For anyone looking for affordable, reliable rechargeable batteries, this pack is a great value. Theyโre high-capacity, work well in a variety of devices, and help reduce waste, making them an easy choice for everyday use.

Amazon Basics High-Capacity Batteries: Power-Packed Performance on a Budget
As a professional reviewer, I've had the opportunity to put the Amazon Basics 16-Pack Rechargeable AA NiMH High-Capacity Batteries (2400 mAh) through their paces. My findings are based on rigorous testing and comparison with other brands in the market. Upon unboxing, my initial impression was that these batteries are strikingly similar to the Sanyo eneloop XX batteries, both in appearance and specifications. This led me to believe that they might be rebranded versions of the same. To confirm my suspicion, I embarked on a series of tests using my La Crosse BC1000 Battery Charger/Analyzer. Here's what I found: Pros: + High Capacity: The batteries delivered an average capacity of 2555mAh after a few recharge/discharge cycles, exceeding the rated 2400mAh. This is a testament to their high-quality performance. + Quality Control: The tight spread between 2510 and 2610mAh across the batteries indicates excellent quality control. + Value for Money: At the time of writing, an 8-pack of Amazon High-Capacity AA batteries costs less than a 4-pack of eneloop XX batteries, making them a great bargain. + Long-Term Performance: After 5 months in storage, the batteries retained 85% of their original capacity, outperforming the Sanyo XX batteries in my previous tests. Cons: - Size: These batteries are slightly fatter than typical AA batteries, which might cause fitting issues in devices with extremely tight battery compartments. - Lifespan: While they perform excellently in the short term, these batteries seem to lose their ability to hold charge after a few years. If you're a heavy user, be prepared to replace them after 2-3 years. - Country of Origin: Some users have reported a drop in quality in batteries made in China compared to those made in Japan. In conclusion, the Amazon Basics 16-Pack Rechargeable AA NiMH High-Capacity Batteries (2400 mAh) offer excellent performance and value for money. However, their slightly larger size and shorter lifespan compared to other brands might be a deal-breaker for some users. Remember, the best battery for you depends on your specific needs and the devices you intend to use them in. Always consider these factors when making your purchase decision.

Great value rechargeable AAs โ high capacity, low self-discharge
Rechargeable batteries are a must in our household with 5 kids. We go through AAs quickly between remotes, toys, flashlights, game controllers, and more. Switching to rechargeables has saved a lot of money over time, and these Amazon Basics 2400 mAh NiMH batteries have been a solid choice. The 16-pack is a great value, and the 2400 mAh capacity is above average for NiMH AA batteries. Low self-discharge is an important feature โ they hold their charge well when sitting in storage or in devices that aren't used daily. No memory effect issues either. I've been using these alongside a compatible charger and they've cycled through many charges without noticeable degradation. Great value for anyone looking to reduce battery waste and save money in the long run.

Cheaper, Not Better
What I like The price is real. Amazon Basics NiMH is cheaper per cell than the Eneloop 12-pack, and noticeably cheaper than the Energizer 16-pack. If price is the deciding factor, these are the cheapest option I have used. They work. The batteries power controllers, lights, and small devices without failure. They hold a charge long enough to be useful day-to-day. They are pre-charged. I can pull them out of the pack and use them. The pre-charged rating matches what I have experienced. I still use them. Three years in, I have not thrown any out. The green batteries are still in rotation. What annoys me The 2400 mAh claim does not survive a refresh. Real refreshed capacity is below 2000 mAh on my tester. That is the headline gap between the marketing label and the lived experience. They are physically bigger than other AAs. The size difference is enough to cause fit problems in tight battery compartments on at least one device I own. They do not hold a charge as long as Eneloops on the shelf. Between refresh cycles, the Eneloops stay useful longer in low-drain devices. The Amazon Basics lose meaningful charge faster. The price gap is shrinking. I keep buying the Eneloop anyway because the per-cell cost difference is no longer large enough to justify the fit and capacity problems. Capacity is not the only number that matters. Even if the cells delivered close to 2400 mAh on day one, that does not help if the device fits them poorly or if they self-discharge faster. Who it is for, and who should skip it If the deciding factor is price per cell and you only need AA batteries for low-drain devices that do not mind a slightly larger cell, these will work. For someone outfitting a garage full of remote-controlled toys or stocking a drawer for occasional flashlights, the Amazon Basics 2400 mAh pack is acceptable. Skip them if the device has a tight battery compartment, if you want honest 2400 mAh, if you need long shelf retention between uses, or if the price gap between these and the Eneloops is small at the time you are shopping. I am in that last group now, and that is why these are my least favorite. Verdict The Amazon Basics rechargeable AAs are cheaper than my Eneloops, work well enough to keep using, but do not deliver on the 2400 mAh label and run physically large. They are a price choice, not a quality choice. Grade: C. Buy them only if price is the deciding factor.

Solid Battery for the Price
Amazon Basics AA Rechargeable Batteries (2400 mAh) โ Real Capacity Test Results I ran a full analysis cycle on 8 cells using an ISDT N8-series smart charger at a 0.5A charge/discharge rate. Unfortunately 4 of the 12 cells were accidentally thrown out with the broken toy they were in so I couldnโt test those. Here are the actual measured results after initial break-in and a few months of normal use in kids toys and various gadgets: Capacity Results (mAh): - 3001 - 2687 - 3001 - 2658 - 2639 - 2625 - 2649 - 2698 Average Capacity: 2700 mAh Rated Capacity: 2400 mAh Internal Resistance (mฮฉ): - Range: 124 mฮฉ โ 200 mฮฉ Key Takeaways: โข All 8 cells tested at or above their rated 2400 mAh capacity โข Two cells measured around 3000 mAh, which is significantly above spec (likely inflated slightly by the lower 0.5A test rate, but still impressive) โข Most cells clustered tightly between 2625โ2700 mAh, showing good consistency โข Internal resistance varied from 124โ200 mฮฉ, which is decent but not premium-tier low What this means for real-world use: These are solid mid-to-high performance NiMH cells: - Great for moderate to high-drain devices (controllers, cameras, etc.) - Not quite as consistent as premium Japanese made brands, but very close considering the price - One higher-resistance cell (~200 mฮฉ) may perform slightly worse under heavy load and prematurely wear out. Lower resistance means less voltage sag under heavy load. Pros: - Exceeds rated capacity across the board - Good consistency between most cells - Good value for the price Cons: - Internal resistance spread is noticeable - Not all cells are perfectly matched for High-drain use Final Verdict: 4.5 / 5 (Rated five stars because you canโt give a half star rating, close enough however): For the price, these perform above expectations. If youโre willing to match cells based on performance (capacity + internal resistance), you can get excellent results comparable to more expensive brands. Testing Note: Results were obtained using a 0.5A analysis cycle, which can slightly inflate capacity readings compared to higher-drain real-world use. Not an appreciable difference however in actual usage. Testing Equipment - ISDT N8 Series Smart Charger Please note: Donโt be disappointed if brand new cells donโt meet their rated capacity out of the box. NimH rechargeable batteries have a break-in period when new. This is usually 3-5 full charge/discharge cycles (for premium Japanese-made cells around 2 charge/discharge cycles). A good smart charger can do this for you. It can take several hours or they will break-in themselves over time with normal usage but their performance will increase after break-in.

Long lasting power
These aa batteries are a great addition to my household. We go thru tons of batteries from using controllers and misc devices. I bought these because they are rechargeable. I have been using the amazon basics brand batteries for a few years now. All sizes and they have not let me down. They last as long as expected and dont lose the long lasting power even after tons of recharges. The amazon basics multi charger is a great addition to these batteries and it saves lots of money both at its price point and the fact I dont need to buy batteries every week! Thanks amazon!!

Rechargeable saves you money!
I use a lot of battery operated LED lights throughout my house. Very difficult to run AC through the walls. (Cost). I've had rechargeable batteries for years and they have come in handy when power goes out. I have lights also in my closets. I haven't had to change them out in about 6 months. These rechargeable batteries do very well in your game controllers as well. I use these in my FLIR for work and they perform great. Also use them in my multimeters with no problems. All my remotes have either AAA, or double AA batteries. It's been years since I have bought a alkaline battery. It's very economical to use rechargeable batteries! I keep at least 45 AA's charged at all times. Rechargeables perform very well under load, and stored. It does advertise that they come charged, but they are not 100% charged. There is a reason why they do come with a charge!? If they had no charge, you could not recharge them, because your battery charger would not recognize them. You would just get a blinking light. You would have to jump start each one... (Check out YouTube for rebooting your dead batterys) do not throw them away, they still have life. The only negative thing I have to say about these rechargeable batteries that save's you money is... The climate crises zealots ๐ฃ... These people need to grow up! It's really a political statement. I just want to buy, or say something without it being politicized!? I highly recommend using rechargeable batteries. It is Earth friendlier, as well as cost-effective. We really don't need a stamp of approval to think that way... Do we?

Honest mAH ratings. Good value.
I measured mAH capacity on an accurate tester, sampling 4 batteries out of the 24 I ordered and all four met the spec. Pretty impressive. What I donโt know yet is what the self discharge curve looks like, but Iโll find out over the next year. I doubt if itโs as good as Panasonic Eneloops, but hoping. Good value.

pratiche e affidabili

Exceeds expectations
Bought these for a video game my son has, they work well and last decently long, not as long as top brand lithium non rechargeable batteries but at least we can recharge these . They are made from NIMH, imo its an outdated technology, should have lithium ion batteries but i guess the price would be higher. I recommend.

Great option for toys
I was going through batteries like water for kids toys. These have been great in both AA and AAA. Very easily charged and good life on them once charged. It has saved me a lot compared to constantly buying batteries.
