Very bright light
The 10 watt bulb is very bright, I would not recommend looking directly into it. After reading some of the other reviews on this light, I guess I am one of the lucky ones. My light came with an attached cord to it. Now mind you, the cord is not very long, but if you are using it as a landscaping light, you can always hook it up to a extension cord. The housing appears to be solidly made and durable. You definitely do not want to lose the remote, or break it because it is the only way to control the light. My light did not come with any directions and as simple as you would think the remote is to use, I struggle to get it to cycle to which setting I want it on. The light I recieved appears to have a memory and resorts back to the last setting you had it on when you power it back on. I would give the light five stars if it had come with directions. I have been unsucessful as of this date to find any directions for it online as well. All in all, a good light with multiple uses.

I ordered 6 of these and no two were exactly the same - One unit was unsafe to use
I ordered 6 for a landscape project and no 2 were the same: 4 had plugs, 2 did not. 1 was missing a bracket bolt. 3 operated on one kind of remote while the other 3 operated on a different remote. 2 would lock up over time and get stuck on 1 color and wouldn't respond to the remote unless you cycled the power by unplugging. Only 2 remembered their previous color setting after power cycle. To me the most important feature was the capability to remember the previous selected color since I wanted to install these in garden locations that will be difficult to access by remote. Packaging was inconsistent - 3 had beat up boxes with no padding - the product literally fell out of the boxes, 2 were carefully bubble wrapped and sealed in boxes, and 1 was packaged with an absurdly excessive amount of tape. On the good side, the light output is plenty sufficient for my garden project, however, I really can't use these without the power off memory feature. I would like to know if anyone has a schematic for these so I can somehow enable the memory feature.Addendum: One unit stopped functioning after awhile, so took it apart to investigate. The grounding wire (yellow/green wire that goes to the third prong) was not connected to anything inside. Also, one of the power wires was pinched between a screw and the metal cover. This could create a potentially dangerous condition exposing the user to 120V shock if the case is touched when energized.Since this product has no labeling indicating it has met any safety standards (like UL) I find it potentially hazardous to use. On the good side, there are many useful parts in side for someone who needs components to build a "light-o-rama" or similar lighting project.

Great for Holiday Lighting
I have it mounted on next to my garage door for holiday "mood" lighting ... I used Green for the days leading up to Halloween. For Halloween itself I put some of the fake spider web stuff in front of it, and switched it to one of the changing color strobing modes. I get many shouts of "hey cool" from the neighborhood kids who enjoyed the effect. It's now time to switch it to red to go with the Christmas light display.A feature I would have liked to have seen added was switching between any two colors - ie for Halloween, I would have wanted to have it slowly fade between Orange and Green. And for Christmas, slowly fade between Red and Green. Also - be aware that the IR remote is very line of sight. Just a few degrees off of center and it will not register. This can be a minor source of frustration. However - for the price point, I was still very impressed with the item as is.

Don't waste your money!!!
What the heck?? I received this product today...took it out and noticed that it "HAS NO PLUG". Just loose exposed wires at the end of a "very" short cord. I had intended to place in front of my shrubs and trees in my front yard. Kind of hard to do if there's no plug!Pros: It came faster than I expected....that's it for the Pros.Cons:Unless you're an electrician (which I'm not!)...I guess you would not care if you...a): had no plug to plug into an extension cord (Which is why I bought it)b): that there were NO INSTRUCTIONS both in the box and on the website on how to use...(Seller states "Quick and easy to install, not!)c): Not battery powered (as also stated by the seller)d): Very cheap looking remote...also with no instructionsI never buy a product on-line until I read the reviews first. I read all 7 reviews and the only one that mentioned remotely that there was anything (missing) was the reviewer that said "they guessed they were lucky" because they got theirs with an actual cord that could be plugged in. I just figured that it was a one time mistake by the seller...but, alas, I was wrong. I am not a "Pro" with RGB experience, but, I have tons of battery operated and solar panel LED lights that work as you would expect. What am I going to do with this useless product?? Toss it into the trash. Not worth spending the $$ to send back. I will however, now go directly to a website that sells nothing but RGB lights. You get what you pay for I guess. :(

Bright and funtional
recieved order promptly. Was exactly as I expected bright!!! Alot of people comment on the distance from the light for the remote but for users such as myself that have alot of RGB lighting devices thats great so you remote doesn't change other lights at same time, mine however controlled effortlessly across the room with no problem... It is Infrared controlled so its a line of sight control people... The only thing that did not make too much sense was the rather short cord on it instead of a standard appliance length, however I was planning to hard-wire them in for use as sconce lights.

Easy to use lighting
I'm just using this for an ambient light when watching tv, but it was almost as cheap as buying an LED bulb and simple light fixture. Plus it give flexibility on what it does get used for.The only drawback from me is a narrow zone where you can use the remote control. It's sold as being an outdoor spotlight, seems like it would be a pain changing settings in that setup.
