I'm a 10y Petroleum Engineer and has been studying Data Science for the last 3y. My main goal was to connect both areas but it was always a challenge. This book just changed the game, literally. If you are like me, someone that already have experience in Oil & Gas and is moving yourself into Data Science you maybe will agree that the worse part of this path is to realize where and how exactly you will use Machine Learning it Oil Industry. To realize the potential and the possibilities take times because every single course in any place you going to learn Data Science is not using Oil & Gas data, it is always about Financial, health, marketing, HR, and other so common topics where ML and AI has been applied. What Hoss and Alireza has created with this book is a unique master peace for you to fill home, use the data that you already know and apply DS, ML, AI using those data and see the magic of both area cross it other. I can't explain to you how excited I'm and how incredible has been this experience.I also want to add something you need to know. Right now, when I'm writing this review, I'm working in a personal project, something similar that was presented on Chapter 5 in the book but in a large scale. I got stuck searching to the original source of the data in order to get more data from other open source information for different wells.
