Cute Illustrations
The illustrations actually match some quilting fabric I recently found . I'm going to make a bib or something small and cute with it for a gift .The book is sturdy and the colors are vibrant . This is a good purchase for a step beyond a cloth book .

Red's a Keeper
Super cute illustrations. Sturdy board book so my daughter can't annihilate it within 24 hours.

GREAT Book: Fun and Adorable
We LOVE this book. Not only is the girl a child of color (we are a biracial family), but the illustrations are adorable and the story is very fun to read. Despite a couple of the negative reviews on here.. the wolf does not die when he's cut open (Red teaches them manners at the end) and Red learns to love her hair and gets rid of the cape hiding it. Coming from a mother of a 4yo with very curly hair, this book is perfect. We bought the book and read it for a whole year before dressing our gang of kids and cousins up as the wolf, Red, the woodsman, grandma and a squirrel (kids ranging from 3 1/2 to 3 mos) for halloween. Crazy cute. The kids loved it and we got so many compliments.

Too Scary/Violent for Young Ones
I wish I had read this book before buying it in the store to read to my 2 year old daughter. Normally I flip through and make sure it's worth the money (I'm a bit of a snob with children's books), but I was in a rush and after glancing at a few pages, thought it looked like a cutely illustrated, snappily-written retelling of a classic fairytale. And it is those things, but...When my husband went to read the book aloud to our daughter, he was surprised to see that the wolf eats Red and her grandma, and the wolf is then sliced open by the woodsman (all that is shown is the wolf's legs as he lies on the floor, the woodsman standing there with an ax). Given this book's format - board book, typically used for babies and very young children - and the cartoonish, sweet illustrations, that plot line was the last thing we expected to read. We'll be taking it back to the store.

Curly Red
I love that little red riding hood has curly hair she learns to love. The artwork is beautiful and the story is fun! My 4 year old daughter loves it before bedtime.

Completely inappropriate adaptation of a beloved story
Should have read it more closely before leaving the store. Yes, it's beautifully illustrated and the rhyming storytelling would be engaging for little ones, but there are two problems. First, on the very first page, there is a line about how she wears a red hood because she hates her curly hair, calling it "horrid". Sigh. Why in the world would the author include a character, especially a little girl, making a self-critical remark about her appearance? Not necessary and totally inappropriate in my opinion. I want to teach my daughter that all parts of her are beautiful and that there is nothing about her that she should ever call "horrid". Second, this book is WAY violent and not toned down enough for the target age group. There is a way to tell this story that's mildly spooky for little ones. This isn't the original Grimm's for crying out loud. Can't take it back for logistical reasons, but I'm not going to put this on my toddler daughter's bookshelf.

Super amazing book!
I didn't expect it was as good as it is. Very colorful and lovely rhymes for kids. Andnit looks very resistant. Great price and great value. Very happy with my purchase.

Un gran cuento, una mala llegada.
El cuento es un buen recurso para enseñar inglés en la etapa de Educación Infantil. Merece la pena comprarlo y además está muy bien de precio. El problema fue que el libro me llegó roto, con un golpe en la portada.

Disappointed.
The worst children's book I've ever read! I bought this book in a rush, because my child needed it for his home work and what a disappointment! I'm sorry I didn't have time to check on the version of the story before I've decided to buy it. In this one the author took a sweet and traditional story and made a version where the Little Red Riding Hood "hates" her own hair so that's why she uses the red hood which she calls "silly". Unfortunately I won't be able to return as my son will need it to take to school as part of his home work, but it definitely won't be part of his library.
