The only thing I don't like is the way the feeder attaches to the top of the feeder. It is hard to put it up and turn it to slide into the 3 little slots that hold it in place, especially when it is full of seeds. It tends to spill seeds out of the tray at the bottom as I fasten it in place, too. Otherwise, it works well. The birds enjoy the tray as we as being able to pull seeds out anywhere along the outside of the feeder tube. Thank you!

I had to replace a plastic feeder that came with a multi-station shepherd's hook. The squirrels chewed the feeding holes on this type so they could get their heads in it. The seed would then all run out when I tried to refill it. This one has metal reinforcement around the holes, so they can't chew through it. I can see the scrape marks from their teeth where they tried. This was definitely a good buy. And the birds LOVE it! I believe this one will last much longer.

Excellent feeder. Love the strong supports for birds to stand on easily. Yes you do need to take off the plastic protective wrap before use. It will take a phillips screw driver to undo the feeder supports and it comes off easily. Then you screw the supports back on.

I purchase cheap plastic feeders last year and none of them lasted a month. I have now purchased two of these metal feeders and they are holding up great. I also feed the squirrels, so if they can withstand those teeth, they are doing their job!

Although this was not advertised for use with peanut suet nuggets, it is the perfect feeder to use for them. I love that the top screws on preventing squirrels from getting into the feeder. The birds love it!

We have a lot of different birds using our feeders. We purchased two several months ago, and just added two additional feeders. The squirrels were eating most of the seed until we filled them with fire hot bird feed. The squirrels didn’t like it, so they moved on.

Not a scientific study, but the birds seem to prefer the U-shaped perches than the single pole perches on more expensive feeders.

Its easy to fill and a generous feeder. The birds empty it in one day.
