I’m pretty angry about this, mostly good but hot damn
Warning, huge cliffhanger!!Blue transfers her senior year in the hopes to better her life for her and her little sister. Her home life is crap and she is doing everything to make her sister’s life better than hers was. Bluems older brother is in prison for murder and all around her life is upside down. Incomes Wes, he thinks he knows her secret and has made it his mission to destroy her. With all of this they are still drawn together and yet they are opposing forces.I feel for Blue. Man oh man the poor girl cannot catch her break. I was pretty upset with her meeting with her brother, for someone with street smarts and her loyalty, that made me angry. I also hated how she dumps for Wes and is angry with Ricky. Like girl, get your priorities in check because Ricky has been nothing but kind, caring and just there for her whenever she needs him. I am firmly team Ricky even though I’m pretty sure he isn’t the love interest.I HATE the miscommunication trope and the last couple of chapters were so full of it. All it would take is a freaking conversation. Bully Romances are always about that and I don’t know why I keep coming back for more. But here I am, about to download book 2.

My heart breaks for Blue
It is so frustrating watching West royally f*** something up that has the potential to be so much. Mind your triggers but highly recommend. Off to see the 2nd book because that cliffhanger has me beyond anxious 😟

Definitely a bully romance
(audiobook+ebook) I haven’t read much bully romances because they often disturb me. Enemies to lovers is already a ‘fine line’ trope in my opinion, so when on top of that there’s violence and humiliation, it’s too unhealthy for me.This book is definitely a bully romance. And West has enough influence at school that other people bully Blue too. To the point that she’s in real danger a couple of times. But guess who saves her? Yep, it’s West. As much as I wanted to hate him–and there are many reasons, Blue isn’t his only victim–I couldn’t completely. He shows a sweet side on rare occasions. He’s a conflicted character for sure. A mama’s boy, he has reasons to hate his father that he keeps secret from his brothers. The same reasons he has to hate Blue, even though he’s been attracted to her since he first met her. Torn between his hate and his desire for her, he acts differently moment to moment. The more he learns about her, the more he feels too. And he fights against it.Let’s just say that Riley is at her wit’s end. She doesn’t even know why West hates her. Usually strong and confident, as a surrogate mother for her younger sister–while her father is drunk and her brother is in jail–she starts at Cypress prep with fear. She isn’t in her element when she comes from the other side of the tracks. And as soon as she arrives, she’s bullied by West and his entourage. But she also feels the strong attraction between them, and she’s even more confused. Not my favorite part. How is it possible to want–maybe even like–someone who spends their time torturing you? Especially when you’re supposed to be a strong character. But it wouldn’t be a bully romance without this element. There are A LOT of side characters, and they’re all much more than just helpers or opponents in the story–yeah, I know my actantial model. At least, they have a role outside of the love story. It’s the first book in the series and ends on a cliffhanger, so a few mysteries are suggested that aren’t resolved by the end of this book. So, why do West hate Blue? How did Hunter end up in jail? Who is Pandora?I loved the narration. It’s mostly dual narration, with the addition of another female narrator for Pandora’s blog posts–the mischievousness is perfect. The main female narrator is great; she conveys perfectly Riley’s strength as well as her most vulnerable side. West’s alpha nature is clear through the male narrator’s growly voice, but there’s some quiver when necessary to reflect West’s softer side. I’m sure the audio made me appreciate this book much more.

Two sleepless nights and I’m ready for however many else to finish this series!
Listennnn!!!The premise/plot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The lead characters: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The side characters: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The villains: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The drama in between: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The chemistry: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The writing: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (4.5 stars)It all started with a look. At a party that would give her insight into who would be her new schoolmates, Blue Riley captures the attention of West Golden. He later finds out that this girl he was so taken with is his father’s side piece which spurs his hatred of her. He wants to destroy her, but he isn’t likely to see her again...until he does. At his school no less.Blue endures West’s bullying at the new Prep School she received a scholarship to attend, not knowing exactly why she’s his target. But there’s also something else that both of them try to deny as well: they want each other. Their love/hate relationship gets splashed out for all to see by the mysterious Pandora (a Gossip Girl persona) who seems to always know all the tea and spills it on her social media site. But West is starting to think there is something off about this supposed relationship that Blue is believed to have with his Dad, and when a picture surfaces of West and Blue in a compromising position in their school’s pool...West’s Dad MUST squash it. He has a secret of his own that he covers by exacerbating West’s belief of infidelity with a lie. The lie that he’s having an affair with the girl his son secretly wants and that she is out to use West to get to him. When Blue goes to seek answers as to why he hates her so much, she and West finally succumb to their desires. But after he flips a switch and goes back to being cold toward her, Blue has no choice but to lick her wounds. Not before a video is leaked with her and West having sex.Blue has had to live through abandonment from her mother, an imprisoned brother, an abusive drunk for a father, and having to become a mother and provider for her little sister. Can she live through this humiliation too?Who leaked the video? What is West’s Dad’s deal and how does he know Blue? And who in the heck is Pandora???~~~~This story was everything! It hooked me from the beginning. I’ve had two sleepless nights because of this book (despite having work) and with how this book ended, I’m looking forward to however many more sleepless nights it takes to finish this series! There was only one thing I didn’t like but it wasn’t enough for me to rate it any less than 5 stars. The constant use of the word “temp” instead of temperature and “peripheral” instead of periphery gritted on my nerves, but I eventually learned to brush it off. The story was too good for me to focus on those insignificant things. This was a good Bully Romance...though aside from touches, kisses and that one sex scene, there wasn’t much romance. Now I’m on to book 2, which THANKFULLY is already out!

Dark bully romance?
Labelled as a “dark high school bully romance” I expected plenty of angst in this one and it did not disappoint. The author creates a huge amount of curiosity from page one and the suspense generated hooks the reader and keeps the pages turning. Within a few pages my insides were churning with foreboding. However, the book was not as dark as I expected.West Golden is the eldest of triplets. The three brothers rule the school because they’re rich, gorgeous and popular. But, they’ve got problems too. Their dad’s a complete jerk and there’s a secret about West that may ruin his football career before it’s even begun - rich boy problems.Blue Riley is from the south side of town, trying to improve her life for her and her sister by accepting a scholarship to prep school with the rich kids. She’s trying to finish high school, work to pay bills (because her dad’s a dead beat alcoholic), take care of her sister after their mum abandoned them, oh, and her brother’s a convicted murderer. If that’s not enough for an eighteen year old to have to deal with, from day one at Cypress Prep, West Golden is out to make her life miserable, and she has no idea why.Bully romances can be hard to stomach but this wasn’t too bad. West made her life more difficult, but I didn’t feel his behaviour was anything that could not be forgiven. He openly states he wants to destroy her and she hates his guts despite the physical attraction. However, I feel the author didn’t convey the emotional and psychological torture at levels I expected from a “dark bully romance”. While there’s plenty of shoves and snide remarks, it’s more like pranks that are instigated by West directly. The bullying does increase in intensity, however, but by that point it’s done by West’s minions without his knowledge. It was impossible not to get behind Blue because she does not let the bullies win. She’s a fighter and gives as good as she gets. However, I felt more empathy for Blue because of the things she faced in her life away from school, rather than the bullying. Perhaps it’s because the “dark” label was misleading, or am I old and jaded? The tension of their conflicting feelings for each other builds and builds over the course of the story, but apart from some heavy make out sessions, the love action is reserved for the very end. After all that build up, I would have preferred it to be a bit longer. Then, of course, it all crumbles for Blue again. However, we know Blue is not going to take this lying down so roll on Book 2. Plus, there’s still plenty of questions yet to be answered...

Blue
It’s a slow burner and I feel like it’s written for the younger generation, although it’s a good read, it’s too tame.***** Warning! Spoil alerts below *****Poor Blue, the girl can’t catch a break, she’s the FMC in this seriesShe lives on the poor side of town, mum left her and her two siblings with a alcoholic fatherBlues brother the eldest is in prisonShe has a younger sister Scarlett aka scarShe’s been given a chance a scholarship to attend a better school on the rich sideWhat she doesn’t know is somebody either herself or somebody like her ex I’m guessing took a pic of her in a naughty screen shotWhich brings us to the Highschool bully aka west who is one of the golden boys, triplets lolAnyway west is looking for daddies credit card and when he stumbles into daddies safe and finds a mobile phone with blues pic he assumes that daddy dearest is cheating on mummy with blueThis is not the case and we don’t know how daddy has the pic and is the mobile even hisSome secrets going about, it’s frustrating that west hasn’t told his brothers what he’s seenHe doesn’t ask blue but targets her as soon as he sees she’s a new studentThe whole book is a tug and war between his feelings towards blueI don’t like west father, I don’t know what he’s up to but it doesn’t seem good and Blue is innocent in all thisSome things I think west would of found out but I guess this is how the book is goingBring on book 2

Give me no.2 NOW!!
ok, the story doesn't end with book 1, so if you intend to read it, i would suggeat for the other books to be out as well. said that, it's HOT! major mystery waiting to be revealed, misunderstandings, eyes seeing everything and gossiping anonymously to the campus (concept already seen in another book later made in a netflix series?) the chemestry and the pull between the 2 is crazy. loved it. One of the reasons i may love this book so much is Lessa Lamb. all 3 narrators did a good job here, but she is something else. not only her voice is hot and expressive, she is also a very very good reader and it all sounded so real. overall very satisfied of my purchase.

Hello triplets 😍
This is the first story I’ve read by these two authors and it sucked me straight in I wasn’t aware it was the first in a series so the ending cliffhanger was one heck of a shock. This book is full of twists and turns and you will want to hurt someone in many places in this story. Blue and west have this intense chemistry and I cannot wait to see where it goes. It begins with a secret discovered, someone hurt and a manipulative adult making an even bigger mess when they find their child has feelings of some form. You need to read this book It is awesome 😍

eventually addictive
To be honest this took me a few chapters to really get into, but once it had its claws into me, I couldn't put it down. The twists, the GG vibe, the bully aspect, and that ending...yes,. I also appreciated that Blue didn't take any of the bullying lying down. She always fought back and now I'm excited to see what's next for the Golden Boys and Blue.
