## Description

From the manufacturer

Review: Decent Bargain — Requires Graphics Card to work - This is quite the bargain for anyone who is also already investing/has invested in a selected Graphics Card, as it has no internal graphics within it. At all. On its own, it just won’t work, or even Boot (I tested this too, out of curiosity!). When a Card is plugged into the MB, though, it whirs to life as Normal, and then goes ahead and gives some good power to your system. It also has a good range speed boost too, but doesn’t OverClock It comes with its own heatsink and even thermal paste, so you don’t have to panic and get your own (like I did!). Installation was SO very easy, with it just popping easily into its slot, and then the heatsink goes on nicely. There are simple plastic clips that keep the heatsink in place. It didn’t take long at all to get it in and ready to go. I have it working with 16GB RAM, a mid-range ATX Mobo, and a GTX 1050 Graphics Card, using Windows 10. It’s being used to mainly run a small but rather powerful home music studio, as well as the usual basics you use computers for. It’s been flawless.
Review: Exemplary performance - The 9400F has six cores (no Hyper-Threading), a boost clockspeed of up to 4.10 GHz and base clock of 2.9GHz (it should run at 3.9GHz on all cores, though), a TDP of 65W, and support for up to 128GB of memory. The 'F' means there's no integrated graphics support, so you absolutely need a dedicated GPU to get any kind of video output—just like with most of AMD's Ryzen processors. Pros : * Leading game performance. * Discounted price compared to vanilla Core i5-9400. * Flimsy bundled cooler is better than nothing. Cons : * Disabled graphics (GPU Card is mandatory). * Locked ratio multiplier. * Big price-to-performance disadvantage compared to AMD in threaded workloads. Paired with - MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Plus Motherboard - MSI GeForce RTX 2060 6GB GPU - Adata XPG Spectrix 16GB DDR4 RAM - Thermaltake PS-TRS-0700NPCWEU-2 TR2 S 700W PSU Tested Games : PUBG PC, Counter Strike Global, HITMAN Series, GTA V in ULTRA mode and its very smooth due to combination of processor + GPU If you are looking for building mid range gaming PC, then you can blindly go ahead and purchase!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I ordered this in 21-5-2020 & till now I didn't receive it , I saw an answer for you saying you for uae it be 2-4 days can you please help me up?**
A: Yes you can

**Q: can i overclock**
A: only (k) cpu can over clock

**Q: if i ordered now when it will arrive to uae**
A: 2-4 days if you select expedited shipping

**Q: So does it come out of the box with the 2.9 or 4.1GHz?**
A: It's a vauable question; the Processor Base Frequency is 2.9 GHz; while the Max Turbo Frequency is 4.1 GHz. (Max turbo frequency is the maximum single core frequency at which the processor is capable of operating using Intel® Turbo Boost Technology and, if present, Intel® Thermal Velocity Boost. Frequency is measured in gigahertz (GHz), or billion cycles per second.)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Extremely great gaming value
*by S***. on 14 January 2020*

This is probably the cheapest processor on the market that won't bottleneck your graphics card. I did some early testing with an RX 5700 to see if there was any sign of bottlenecks caused by the CPU. What I found is that I was getting the exact same performance as tech sites were with the RX 5700 where they were using the i9-9900k processors. Its possible that perhaps a RTX 2080 might be too much for it, but even that I doubt and if it were, the bottleneck would probably be minimal. I'm seeing 100% GPU bound in games like Gears 5/Gears 4 (where that rating is available). I now have my RX 5700 overclocked with custom power tables to 2024mhz. I still see 100% GPU bound ratings so the CPU is definitely strong enough for the RX 5700 XT as well. I did put a larger CPU cooler and 120mm fan. From what I can tell the CPU runs nearly 100% of the time (in game) at the boost speed, which is 3.9ghz for all cores. The temperature with the cooler I have on it does not exceed 52C, I know the boost clocks will slowdown if the CPU gets too hot, so that was my reason for installing the better cooler, although I'm not sure it was entirely necessary. For less than $150, I'm not sure there is anything that currently beats this CPU provided you are using a discrete graphics card. I nearly bought an i3-9100f with the plan to upgrade the CPU later, but after doing the research determine the i5-9400f would be a better value and last me much longer before the need to upgrade, especially since this was a gaming build. At present, I don't believe there was any reason for a more expensive processor for gaming. Obviously if you are building at the top end, you would probably be going with a higher end processor anyway. I was trying to get bang for my buck and I think the i5-9400f and RX 5700 build (esp since I got the RX 5700 for $280) accomplished that.
