AUD-1100-50 50 feet 3.5mm Male to Male Stereo Cable - Black

I like to listen to music while I get ready in morning but sadly my husband likes to sleep later than I do and our computers are in the bedroom. I purchased this cable so that I could run the length of it from the computer in the bedroom, under the baseboards, through the hall and into the bathroom. I'm happy to say, it's worked perfectly!I was so excited when it arrived because the cable is thinner than I expected and very flexible. It probably took me less than a half hour to slip it under the carpet and behind the baseboards easily. I got it a few times with the edge of the knife I was using to slide it under and never once did it poke or tear the outside casing so it seems very durable, even under these strange circumstances!I know some people had complained of humming/electrical buzzing noises when connected to their computers but I had absolutely no problems like that. I've used my computer (Windows 7) and also my husband's iPhone as well as my Samsung Galaxy S and each have worked great!My husband asked me what I'll do when we move (how I'll get it out from under the baseboard) and I told him for what I paid, I wouldn't feel bad about just leaving it behind. This cable is so low priced (especially in comparison to what you'll pay at big box stores) and I'm already thinking about buying a second one so I'll be prepared when we do move!For the quality, price and my needs -- I'm very satisfied with this cable!

11/01 UPDATE- My cat recently got tangled in the cord and pulled the speaker tower over- bent the plug connector about 30 degrees- thought it was toast- my bad- STILL WORKS!! Ordering another one- a bit shorter this time to avoid tanglesAwesome! My neighbors like them,too- now they don't have to listen to my music since I can route the speaker tower to where I am instead of having to pump up the volume. I'm sure the cats enjoy not having the floor vibrate for the same reason. Smooth Jazz is not quite the same at full-volume as rock or R&B and while Beethoven's 9th and the opening of the 5th do lose something I an extremely satisfied with this purchase. I love all kinds of music and I love having wherever I am working. I am going to get an additional speaker and cable set for the garage so I can leave them in place. No problem with static or connections- works great!!! And you can't beat the price...

I purchased this cable to connect the audio out mini-pin from an iMac computer into the PC-Audio In of an LCD HDTV. This iMac must use a separate audio cable because the audio doesn't export from the Mini-DVI port as it does in the recent iMacs'. When I connected this cable, a loud hum was heard. I was able to correct the hum from the cable by purchasing a ground loop isolator for about $30. I noticed that this cable when used in the computer's audio mini-plug out (3.5mm--1/8") was the only time the hum was heard. When connecting it from the TV to an iPod Touch, or another mp3 player, the hum was not heard. Since these devices have fewer components that could cause electrical interference into the audio signal, this is probably why it wasn't experienced with these devices. Given the fact that the cost of this 50' cable is so low, and a comparable length plenum-rated cable would run above $35, this was a pretty good deal. The shielding may be the issue. If anyone needs specifics what i used and how, let me know.

The cable works well for running sound from my laptop on my desk around the perimeter of my bedroom to the 2.1 speakers on the dresser.The cable doesn't connect as securely as I would like (I can wiggle it a bit), but what do you expect as far as quality for under $10? It does get the job done, though.At first, I noticed a hum from the unsecure connection. However, I fixed this by plugging the laptop end of the cable into an old headphone extension cable that I knew was more secure.I'm listening to it to now and even though I can wiggle the cable in the audio out port a bit, the sound is fine and there is no hum. *shrugs* If it comes back again, I have the extension cable.Overall, I'm happy with this purchase for the deal and would recommend this.

I needed a long audio patch cable to run from my laptop projector in my back yard to my stereo in the living room so we can pipe the sound for our movie nights to our patio speakers outdoors. I also want to do the same thing in my RV so we can have outdoor movie nights when we camp out in the desert. When I started shopping for a cable I was hoping I could find one cheap enough so I could keep one in the RV and one in the house, because it would be a drag to run off and forget the cable and not be able to hook up the sound.This cable is a great quality and an amazing price. It needs to be sturdy enough that it can make the long run outdoors and not break if/when someone steps on it.I'm very happy with the quality and the price was low enough that I bought two. Yay Amazon!!!

I like to hear EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE. At Amazon.com I found everything I needed to pull that off: cables, connectors, adapters, everything I needed to wire my house. Now all my toys, 2 TVs, computer, cell phone, digital piano all play through a sound system that allows me to hear everything in every room. I can move around without missing the audio from TVs or computer. I can hear my cell notifications wherever I am, and my digital piano can be heard in every room. One-stop shopping at Amazon allowed me to avoid going from store to store, probably not even finding what I needed. As the Terminator said, "I'll be back."
