I'd used 19" studio rack mounted gear prior to that, with expensive mics and patchwork software. This mic solved all the problems. Try to find the Youtube of Sweetwater's extensive review of this product. It comes with software that is fully configurable and works so well - it's really shocking how good this setup is. To top it off, the company has a TON of amazing Youtubes on How to for Studio One recording software...which is also included - with a ton of great plugins - for FREE with the mic!!! My only complaint is that the cords going into the bottom sucks very bad for the desktop stand that they include. They need to come out the back because this setup is terrible. But that is the only negative I can say after using this for about the past 15 shows of The 12-Step Buddhist Podcast.
