I've had this toolbox for months now and it's been a pain in the arse getting in and out the back of the car because the handle snags on the roof. It never occurred to me that maybe the handle can be removed – in fact, I was in the middle of typing a response to you, saying that the handle can't be removed. Then I thought, what the heck, maybe it can. Blinking glad I went and checked. It's only because of your question that I learnt the handle is removable, so thank you. With the handle attached but lowered you need about 27 inches clearance, but with the handle removed you only need about 20 inches clearance. It makes life so much easier as I can stack other tough system boxes on if desired. But for what I need is to carry tools and materials over. It's the ideal size to be able to put on some bale arm crates on and saves a few trips back, and also saves your back from not having to do any lifting and carrying. Initially I thought the cost was a bit high, however after having it over a year and been through some heavy use on some not so good surfaces. It's proving to be a product well worth the price tag.
