Build quality tops, love USB - but not for me
Great build quality, convenient USB recharging, better battery life than expected.Unfortunately, this light does not meet my needs - the focus is too narrow (the 'hotspot' is too small) and the overall light output is lower than I expected from a 500 lumen flashlight ('up to' 630 lumens with a different non-rechargeable battery, not included.) I am not familiar with specialty flashlights, but have used bike lights rated for 500 lumens with substantially more light output. You do not have to remove the 'front' with LED to recharge by USB, as pictured in another review - the reviewer either had a defective product, or this is a different revision. The 'front' does not come off without applying more force than I'm willing to use.Hoping to gift this or keep as a car light, as it really is nicely built - but I'll be buying something else with more power and sharper or variable focus.

Great power and durability and charges by USB
I've had several of these lights. I l left one behind while travelling and replaced one I thought I lost, but didn't. The second one lasted several years and is still going pretty well. When I thought I lost it I, had a hard time finding one to buy, but it was still available and I didn't hesitate. The case is metal and tough with a sheath that screws down to revel the charging port. It holds a charge for quite a long time and is very powerful. I live in the woods and my dog that needs to go out at night. With this light I'm sure the critters know I'm coming.

Nice flashlight. Not suitable as a tactical light.
It's really convenient to have USB charging capability and the light seems to be fairly sturdy. I can't comment on the reliability yet, but I'll update this review if there are any concerns later...... so why only 3 stars? 2 reasons...1- There's no way to quickly turn on and off the light in high power. Any press of the button within 5 seconds from each other will just switch between modes, even if you click the light all the way on. This makes it pretty much useless as a weapon light, but it'll make a fine light to keep in the truck or for camping.2- My Surefire is only a ~250 lumen light and is just as bright as this "630 lumen" light.... This light IS bright, but it doesn't put out any where near as many lumens as advertised. It's plenty bright for most situations but definitely not any brighter than my 250 lumen Surefire.... but, since it costs less than the Surefire as long as it holds up reasonably well then I'm still happy with the purchase.Hopefully this thing holds up well as a light to keep in my truck for emergencies and camping.

Great light. Charges on the slow
Great light. Charges on the slow, but if its being kept in the vehicle for emergency or just having a light on hand its slow charge is not a big deal just plug it in over night after long usage . Charges with the same micro usb cable used to charge an Samsung s4. construction is durable and seems well sealed, I am not crazy about the trail cap button scallops they are a bit edgy to the touch had to grind them down to a smooth contour. Otherwise I like it, and the Maglite 3 cell LED will now take a back seat in the tool box of my truck while this will stay in the door pocket.

Love it - except
This light has all kinds of power and is a good solid light. The battery last a long time between charging and it is durable and tough. I live in a rural area so the light is used anytime I go out of the house at night. The beam is amazingly strong and can light up stuff well over 50 yds. away. The three star rating is due to the charging port. After maybe 8 times charging it the connector on the flashlight that you plug the cord into pushed back into the case so it cannot be charged using a cord anymore. You can still pull the battery out and charge it with a battery charger (which I had) but this feature is why I purchased this light. If I wanted to do that I would have bought a light that was $25.00 cheaper. Other than that I love it.

This unfortunately didn't satisfy my needs
I have searched for a recharable flashlight that offers as much distance and brightness as possible for a long time. This unfortunately didn't satisfy my needs. However, it is built well as far as ergonomics and quality. The battery holds a charge very well and the price is relatively fair. I need distance more than the up close surface area that this offers and distance on this in my opinion is poor. I thought it was adjustable (giving more focus/distance) but it's not. Also, brightness is pretty good but i think 500 lumens is exaggerated as in most cases found with rechargable flashlights. I've found that it's difficult for even leading companies to reliably produce a recharable that can reach over 200L and it appears to have about that/ just over that.

Very nice light.
I'm very picky about my lights, and I absolutely expect top notch performance. I'm used to using lights 2-4x more expensive than this and I absolutely love this thing. Bright mode is WAY bright, low mode is, well, less bright. Strobe mode is seizure-inducing. I typically walk my property late at night with the light on low mode, in case of trouble, (human or animal) a quick double tap to the strobe will deter almost anyone or anything. Charges fast on the same plug as my S5 phone! Battery seems to last a long time with moderate usage. Very happy with it after several months of use. Would buy again

Good flashlight.
I use this flashlight at work. It is bright enough and holds a charge well. The barrel is a little smaller in circumference than I would like. The end has become loose a couple of times. This causes the light to not work. Now that I know this can happen I check it and have no problems. I like how it charges. Some of the surefire lights I have had in the past don't have a positive enough recharger while driving. This one plugs in and stays in, even if it falls to the floorboard.
