## Description

BodyTrac Glider 1060 Hydraulic Resistance Fitness Rower Machine

Review: My Favorite Rower Machine - I’ve had this exact brand and style in the past that lasted me yearsss. Old one could have kept going, but decided it was time to replace it as it took some damage and counter was broken after years of use and storage. Purchased the same model which is this, and they have added and improved it with better counter, extra seat padding, stability, and free mobile app with music and tracking. I love that it has full range circle motions for arms instead of a pull bar other rowers have. Pull bar can hurt elbows over time, and circle motions I believe gives overall better full body workout and feel of actual rowing. Also foldable storage is a biggy for me as I have and use this in my bedroom. Resistance has levels of 1 to 12 which for me I’ve never gone past 5 and normally use level 2 or 3 as it has plenty to challenge yourself and build up too. Assembly was a little tricky, but not terrible, more than half is already put together. Just stability pieces to put on, seat, and pieces to hold it in place. Comes with all tools needed and instructions. No extra pieces left over. Also if you get confused how the counter attaches as I thought it was missing bolts at first, you use the screws on the back side of the counter that are screwed in it already. Up to you to put counter on. It has timer, calories, and rowing strokes on display when in session so it’s nice if need keep track.
Review: Not perfect but worth the money and a good workout - I've been holding off on this review until I've used the product a bit. I've done 5 30 minute workouts on it and have a pretty good idea of what to say. A bit about me, 48 year old male 5' 10" ~205 lbs. I use cardio gear to supplement a 6-day a week lifting routine. I either use the rower reviewed here, an elliptical, or run outside/treadmill when it's too cold out. I alternate the cardio and never use the same equipment 2 days in a row. On to the rower, it went together fairly easily. It is quite squeaky and noisy in the arms and seat. I got some general purpose oil and the arms are now silent but the seat still makes a bit of noise - I'll be oiling up the wheels soon to try to eliminate that. As for the workout if you maintain good form I think this is a GREAT workout. I use resistance 7 out of 12 and in 30 minutes get about 950+ strokes. I am wore out by the time I'm done and have a good sweat on. I don't have a heart rate monitor but I am sweating and the house is in the mid 60 degrees so I am definitely working. The seat is not so great - even though it's not solid plastic the small about of padding doesn't feel good even after about 10 minutes. I put a small towel or something down on it and I get through 30 minutes w/o any butt pain lol The foot straps - move them to the top position. They come installed in the lower position which unless you have very small feet they will not be in a good position for locking you in. I wear mens size 12, on the top strap location my feet feel pretty secure although there is some movement. The velcro is strong but thin - I'd like to get something a bit better but so far they seem durable enough out of the box. Overall I think the rower will last and for the money I think I got a good piece of gear. I like the arms with the full range of motion rather the the straight row pullback you see on the higher end machines. Also there is no chain to clean/maintain here. You do need to keep the tracks clean but the unit folds up easily and stores with a small footprint. Good value IMO.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the difference between the 1050 and the 1060 as far as one is just newer?**
A: The quality and style are the same. The only differences I've seen are the foot platforms are better on the 1060 and the digital display is nicer.

**Q: I live in an apartment. Is this machine quiet enough not to disturb my downstairs neighbors?**
A: Yes, I use it in my apartment, too, and it will not bother other tenants. My apartment is carpeted, but if you have hard flooring, placing the rowing machine on an exercise equipment mat should take care of any noise the machine might make.

**Q: Two questions: 1. how comfortable is the molded seat? i see other rowers with nice, padded seats. 2. will it work for a shorty - 5' 2"? thank you.**
A: The seat is just fine, I honestly hadn't given it a thought, so it must be ok! I am 5'5 and fit the machine quite nicely, but my son 5'11" and hysband 6' are decidedly too big for it. I don't think being shorter would pose a problem.

**Q: How much weight will the 1060 hold?**
A: 250 pounds.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great machine, great value :)
*by S***C on April 30, 2016*

I was nervous to purchase this because there weren't any reviews at the time I purchased it. The model below this one has plenty of reviews where most of the complaints stemmed from the foot rest not being large enough and the machine being noisy while rowing. I took a chance and got this model and it seems those issues have been addressed. The machine was easy to assemble, took less than 15 mins, the only issue I had was putting the bottom part, that goes in the back, the stabilizer, on the medal part, it didn't seem to fit. So, it was wobbly and unstable until after it was fully assembled, during my first few rows, my body weight forced the part to fit. The foot rest is large enough to allow the foot to stay on the rest while rowing and the machine is pretty quiet. I'm not sure how accurate the calories burned meter is but the counter seems to be accurate for the number of rows. AA battery not included. The actual workout, which can be adjusted with the tension selector, is a really good workout. I started on a 6 and you can really feel all of your muscles working. I've only had the machine since April 20th but I can already feel the results of the workout. I would definitely recommend this machine to anyone looking to improve their cardio and tone up a bit.
