I bought this for a small project. In total, I used this to make between 20-25 cuts on type L 3/4" copper pipes, some in a space too small that i had to pull the pipe away from the wall to give enough clearance for the tool. The last cut was still clean. There is a trick to using this small tool. Align the pipe on the tool, turn the adjuster to apply a light pressure on the pipe then turn the tool around the pipe. There goal is to just make a light score around the pipe. The light score will be enough to guide the blade under higher pressure. Once you have this guide, you can put higher pressure to actually start cutting. Without this guide, or if you just put on high pressure from the start, the blade will not stay straight and you'll end up making spirals along the pipe.

Very poor
I have used these mini pipe cutters before, and know how to use them and what they should do. Two problems with this one. Blade is pretty dull. A cutter blade does not have to be super sharp, but this one is too dull. Biggest problem is that the arms that hold and guide the cutting part are not attached at the far end, so they spread apart which means the cutter is not really guided. and wanders slightly. To make a cut with this type of cutter, you have to be able to circle back to the starting point for the first few rotations to make a groove. This one does not track, and you really have to go slow with constant manual guidance to make it round to your starting point. Over time the arms spread wider, so lots of blade wobble, and it is completely useless.

Strong little pipe cutter for copper, pvc, or aluminum.
I got this device to cut some 1/4 inch Type L hard length copper tubing, and it performed quite well; it cut right through the pipe without much effort. Even though this device is labelled a "mini" tube cutter, I'm confident that it could hold up to heavy use. It's also small enough to chuck into a tool bag and not weigh it down too much. The twist knob is large enough for fat fingers, and textured for grip. Be advised that this won't accommodate larger diameter pipes, and will need to be lubed periodically.

Works well
Perfect for small project with copper tubing. I will probably never use it again so i just wanted to buy a cheap tube cutter that works. This cut very clean with no issues. I did have to use gloves though to get a better grip while creating the cuts. I also managed to cut the end off of a 3/4 adapter fitting but that was very difficult. Normal tubes are no problem though.

Great product!!
Who doesn't love a plumbing project where you have to be a contortionist to complete? I had a project where I had to replace the valves on an older house built in the 1930s with some sort of brand that they did not make anymore. This thing made my project much simpler otherwise I would have spent hours cutting pipe in a tight space. This reduced my time to mere minutes. I hope I do not have to use it again haha. Good product though, I would recommend.

Great on Copper water line.
Worked really easily on copper water line. It did take a little bit of time to develop a feel for when it was cutting or not. Also important to get the pipe properly seated on the rollers opposite the blade.

Hard to use. Did hurt my fingers.
I found this item hard to use. It hurt my fingers to tighten the knob and to rotate to cut. My fingers are still sore days later. I choose this clamp because of the potential versatility of cutting other pipe material. But, I decided to go with the ratchet clamp instead of this and the ratcheting clamp is a million times better for PVC pipes. Perhaps a bigger, more robust pipe clamp would've worked better, but this one is a NO.

Good for tight spaces but not strong
This is a very small cutter so it will get into a tight space around a pipe if you have no room to rotate a larger cutter, but you sacrifice the weight and quality of a larger tool that cuts much easier. This will get it done, but you will need to rotate & tighten repeatedly to get through a standard copper pipe. For $10 it works, but I might consider paying $5-10 for a higher quality cutter like the Rigid.

Does not cut well at all
Very disappointed for simple tool like this. It does not cut well, the cutter moves resulting the cut line not straight. Also the rollers scorch the pipe, which is bad. (See picture.) It should cut the pipe leaving no trace.

You Will Be Disappointed
It's a one and done. Very poor quality. It broke trying to cut one section of aluminum pipe. I had two sections. Do not buy if you need a reliable tool for long term use.
