I had wondered what the full Chaga element was like and ordered the whole Chaga element (mushroom). After cutting with a fine saw and collecting all the dust from cutting, I had just over a pound of chunks that make great Chaga tea. I use the saw dust for instant and steep the chunks for 8 to 12 hours with a Ceylon cinnamon stack. Great tea!!! If you do not want to cut the element yourself, Chaga Pure and Simple sells other forms that are great too.

Wow, great product and seems to last forever...one bag will do you for a long, long, time. I chip off a bit and let it steep in hot water in a quart sized Ball jar in my fridge. I pour off a little bit and add more hot water to my mug to dilute it a bit. I don't add anything, the taste is mild and quite pleasant...I am a fan.

a huge chunk of Chaga! broke in small pieces with a butcher knife and rubber mallet. ground in a cheap coffee grinder and brewed like coffee. has no flavor, just tastes like hot water.

The company is very selecting in choosing the choicest specimen submitted and avoids chaga from dead trees, etc. We drink it as a beverage each morning.
