Was listed as not ready for shipment for 3 weeks, but arrived in four days!Everything as advertised. I can see that it has a metal barrel, but have not disassembled. So, I don't know details about the gearbox, etc. It has thicker plastic (ABS?), and does not feel cheap, or flimsy. Substantial weight, aided by steel slugs (I can see one in the buttstock and feel a similar sized one in the body based on the counter balance).I've shot about 7,000 gell balls through it so far without any issues. Only around 1% (3-5 per 400 count magazine) of the generic gell balls that I bought break leaving the muzzle. Shoots fast. Semi-automatic seems to be slightly less power than full-auto based on full-auto appearing to shoot straighter and slightly further.Also bought the 800 gells drum magazine and removed the baffle to allow it to hold 1,200+ gell balls! Works great.Friend bought a $40 gravity fed rifle-style blaster at the same time. His got stuck firing without the trigger being depressed within first 2 hrs of use. He disassembled and fixed that issue by re-soldering. Shot less than 4k gell balls total and his gearbox stripped out. -This one is is much better quality and shoots further and faster.

Arrived quickly. Good on seller. My son is totally psyched when he plays with this. Make sure you use the included eye protection. Which is actually z87+ rated (the same as I used in the military) the blaster isn’t all that accurate from 50-100 but it can definitely hit a human sized target without an issue from that distance. No clean up required these water beads or (orbeez) different size. The orbeez won’t fit sorry. We attempted but the size is different. Otherwise this is great. I wish they were cheaper because then I’d have a few and it would be for the whole family. Nerf blasters are less expensive. But you have to have the dart cleanup. This is quick and easy and they sting real good so you KNOW when you get hit or when you hit your opponent. I’d recommend this for anyone aged 7-70. Great fun for the whole family.

By now I’ve owned or fired at least 6 different blasters. Don’t get me wrong, Surge XL is an excellent choice. But, as someone who enjoys shooting sports, the ability to aim down sight and feed through magazines is so cool! Best build quality as any blaster I’ve fired. Like it so much I bought one for my shop as well.

The gun was a really cool gift for my self I didn't get any other gifts for my birthday so i bought my own i love the look on the neighbor's kids when i pull it out and start shooting them one even fell on the ground and never got up to this day. this a fun toy even if I'm 80 i still can use it. honest review the guns great the sights are a little wack but what do you expect when your blasting little kids in a drive by it shoots great it has a little sting but not much wouldn't recommend putting reall bullets in it my neighbor hasn't moved for at least a week since the fight we had with the gell blasters

It got jammed and so I went to return it only to find out we bought it 37 days ago so they won't accept a return. It's A LOT of money to have it break that fast. I even paid to have a new mag mailed and it still isn't functioning. Won't pull the bullets up into the gun.

This was a gift I purchased for my grandson. He loves it.

I bought this for my little brother and he loves it. Totally worth the price! It’s easy to use all you go to do is leave the beads in some water and refill the gun ..after I got this for my brother his friends all bought the same one they really enjoyed it. I highly recommend.
