LennyPads Ultra Absorbent, Reusable, Training, Housebreaking and Travel Washable Pee Pads - (28X32, White) XL Pad

Our two Havanese dogs are eight years old and have used these pads since we discovered them when they were a few months old. We normally change pads (we have two out at a time) only once a day and each gets machine washed and dried (normal settings) on the average of every three days. We are now on only our second set.I doubt they provide any "enhancement" for pad training, but cannot comment because one of our dogs was pad trained when we got him from the breeder and the other resisted pad training regardless of the type of pad used.

PLEASE READ UPDATE FURTHER DOWN! Lenny pads were changed after my initial purchase, and the new ones are BY NO MEANS WATERPROOF! Over five years, I have used four other brands, and Lenny Pads is by far the worst. They do absorb moisture and remain dry on top, but unlike any other pads I've used, they draw moisture to the edges, and the edges are not waterproof! This forces moisture beneath the pad, where it comes into contact with carpets and floors!! I'm not exaggerating: even if only 1/8 of the pad is soiled, the moisture doesn't stay in that spot. Within 30 minutes, it is drawn to the edges and ends up underneath the pad. Another major flaw is that these pads do not survive very many wash and dry cycles. I first rinse the pads, and then wash in warm water with gentle soap, and dry for 20 minutes on the lowest setting. I also toss in a couple of big towels to buffer the pads against the dryer heat. Still, after about ten washes, the continued shrinking of the undersides of the Lenny Pads (we are talking about a good 6 inches here) causes the top layers to gather, and the buckled pads no longer lay flat. After about 50 washes, the undersides begin looking porous and allow moisture to pass through to the carpets underneath. (without first having to spread to the edges.) There is no way Lenny Pads could survive the more than 300 washes advertised for the product.UPDATE: THE NEW ONES LEAK TOO!! HORRIBLY!! The new pads are thicker, stiffer, don't launder well, Have sort of a nasty chemical odor coming out of the dryer, and they STILL leak! The longer the pads are left flat on the floor, the more moisture there is underneath the pad when you take them up. I was so dismayed at the performance of these pads. They are the worst I have ever used. I did email Lenny Pads customer service to explain the problem with the new pads. I received a response informing me that they were sorry to hear the pads leaked. He indicated that they had not had any complaints about the pads leaking. I find it hard to believe that my six Lenny pads are the only ones they've had complaints about. Adam (customer service) informed me that the company was going to bring the manufacturing of Lenny pads back into the United States, No mention was made to refund my purchase, and I was told they can not accept returns on this type of product. However, had I purchased the pads through Amazon, I would have requested a full refund. I have since learned that Lenny Pads had indeed received multiple complaints of pads that do not Live up to the companies claims of "leak proof." I'm surprised that the company has begun donating to pet shelters, etc., yet cannot make good on their product to people who have paid for Lenny pads only to find that we didn't get what we paid for. Sorry, one star for the pads' performance and no stars for their customer service.

We have a small half Chihuahua & half Shih Tzu dog that uses pee pads while we're at work during the day. He loves these & hasn't had an accident anywhere in the house since we started using Lenny Pads. I highly recommend and will be buying more.

Leaked first use

I bought these for my litter of puppies. I had been using a few other brands of reusable pee pads, but the backing would weaken after repeated washings, and stains were hard to get out. These pads are very durable, super absorbent and hold up well to laundry and bleach and no more leftover stains!
