Works perfect for my 89 year old mother that just got out of rehab with stomach surgery. Pleanty of room to move herself comfortably by lifting legs over bathtub to wash herself. She loves it and trusts it to be secure.

I ordered two of these suction cups. Only one of them is working. The other I believe was used and had been repacked and resold. It falls off the wall and the clips on the handle will not stay closed. The second one is in the exact same place and works much better. I would like to return the bad one for a replacement. Even the box was worn and tore when I opened the package.

This product is horrible and dangerous and I definitely would never ever buy this product. I bought it because of the good reviews. It did work great for about a month. Well this morning as I was using them to get out of my tub one slipped and because it slipped I grabbed the second bar really hard resulting in it completely slipping off. I then fell and received a very deep gash on my left leg, a badly bruised rib, and broke my right foot in two places.I am very angry and probably going to receive legal advice. This is a very very dangerous product and I could have been very seriously seriously hurt.PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS DANGEROUS DEADLY PRODUCT.

Update three months later: These are the best suction grips, by far, that we have ever tried. They really stick, and the size is just perfect for a hand grip.Original review:We're building, and temporarily in an apartment with a 36" wide oval tub. We're ancient, so clambering in and out was the equivalent of an aerobics class. These are perfect for steadying yourself, and they stay on. The kind of item you could end up using in a lot of places. Great price, great item.

These grab bars seem to be very sturdy. We used one in our shower, and it's working out real well. We also bought another to use next to the toilet. For some reason that one doesn't hold as well. It might be the wall surface that is affecting it.

I bought 2 of these so I could have a secure hold getting into and out of shower after knee replacement. I find that one of the 2 works and the other falls off of the wall. Two different nights I have heard a noise in my bathroom and find iln the morning that the portable cup safety grab bar has fallen off the wall. I don't find this reassuring at all for help after my knee surgery later this week. Don't depend on them. KJH

For the price you simply can't beat it. This is a great item to pack away in the suitcase when traveling. It will give you that extra sense of security when needed.

Doesn't work well with my tile size. The cup can't be placed in any way where it doesn't touch grout. But am sure it is good. Passing it onto another who can use it because they have a different tile size.
