I love this powerful little speaker! I bought it so I could listen to my music and recorded books when I'm working outdoors, and I can hear it above the sound of the local traffic. I like to stream content from my Kindle Fire and this speaker does the job. Also, I can leave the Kindle inside my house and if a "pop-up" rainfall comes while I'm outside, I don't have to scramble to protect my electronics since it's water resistant.The only complaints I have are not about the speaker, but with the user's manual and the company's customer service. There is not enough detail in the manual and one is left to guess at how to work it. I had to fiddle around with it for a while to get it to work. It seemed to arrive in an uncharged state and I wasn't sure if the device was working or not. I charged it for a couple of hours and came back to it.It would be nice if the sounds were explained too, rather than leave the customer to guess at what they mean. I emailed asking for help to youmoonmanagertech.com on August 24th and I never received a response from them although right next to the email address, it was stated that someone would respond within 12 hours. It's now more than a week since that email went out. Fortunately, I worked it all out and I don't need to hear from them anymore.

I have a love-hate relationship with this speaker. On the plus side, it plays at a good volume, the charging time is reasonable, and it is absolutely magical to not have to use any batteries or plug it in. On the minus side, the controls are very maddening. The on-off button is okay - you hear a series of rising or falling tones that let you know if the unit is being turned on or off. However the mode button is horrible. There is absolutely no way to know what input mode is active. You have to rely on trial and error. Then there are the beeps. My unit started making beeps the other day. I THINK that they mean that it was running low on power, but there's no way to know for sure. This product is a perfect example of you get what you pay for. I would gladly pay more for a unit that was easier to use.

This Bluetooth speaker is awesome and for the price you cant complain. I have used this now for a few months and it has held up to the elements. I did have some trouble with connecting to the Bluetooth through my iPhone 6s. It would say connected, Spotify would say it was playing but the speaker wouldn't put out any sound. I would have to go into my phone settings and forget the device then reconnect before it would work. I contacted Youmoon about this and they sent me a brand new one, no questions asked!As I stated before, the speaker is durable. I have used this camping twice. I built a custom battery box to recharge my devices on the go but I didn't even need it for this. I originally bought this with the intention to use it on my kayak. I took this with me to Lake Powell, Utah. I was on the water from 8am to 8pm with this Speaker as loud as it could go! The sound quality is quite a bit better than other speakers I've used in the past. I had the speaker mounted on the top side of the kayak and it got wet from the paddles but that had no effect on it. The Bluetooth range is pretty decent. If you're on the fence about this speaker, I would suggest you pull the trigger. You wont regret it!

Love this! Straight from the box, I placed it near the sun to charge and within 2 hours it was ready to go. No waiting for 24 after plugging it into the wall. Working outside I can hang this on a branch and it will work for hours. The sound is great, better than expected. It's small and that's good, fits on your palm like a sandwich only thicker/more clunky. Not heavy. Would buy this as a gift for someone, too.

Love this. A little problem with the volume I have a different brand that was a little smaller with much more volume power. Also heavier then the other cheaper version. But love the solar powered feature. Small issue with charging at the same time you are listening, i.e., the speaker/sound is angled dowwnard so the solar panels can be facing up to the sun.

I keep it on my dash in my car, exposed to a lot of sunlight. This isn't enough to keep it charged. I still have to plug it in for charging regularly.Also I do not like the way the buttons work. On other similar Bluetooth speakers I have had you press the + button once and this increase the volume a little, holding down the + button advances to the next song. With this speaker it is just the opposite. I don't like this. If I want to increase the volume I have to hold down the + button just the right length of time. If I do it too long the volume will be too loud. If I do it too short a time then the song will advance to the next one.One more thing, there is a button to press if you want to book this speaker up using a wire instead of Bluetooth. Other speakers I've owned does this intuitively.

This little speaker is powerful! I keep it in the front window where it gets plenty of sunlight and it always is ready to use. I use it mostly with the Amazon Echo Dot and the sound is really good for these aging ears. Music plays very well on it also. Great purchase, I think I should get one for my mom who is 92.

Durable, worked as advertised. I never charged it with anything other than the sun, and it had plenty of juice for my recent 4 day camping trip. It also handled being bumped around, dropped, lightly rained on. I wouldn't mind if it were a bit louder. If you're looking for some background music at the campsite, it is perfect. If you're looking to crank it up so everyone can dance, it might not be loud enough for you. I've since taken it back to my apartment, and I think it will be perfect for relaxing on my little outdoor deck.
