Phenominal, overlooked melodic rock
The second track on this amazing melodic hard rock album, "No Justice" says it all. How on earth does such an amazing album as this get overlooked?? Clearly, there is "no justice in the world", to quote from that melodic monster of a song. All I can say is that every track on this album is stunning. From the searing opener "Saviors Never Cry" to the beautiful yet persistent "Jealousy" to the amazing melodies of "Sentimental Blvd." to the vocals-only masterpiece "Just Like I Planned", all of the tracks are winners. I have rarely heard an album that is this good on each and every track. It took me until this year to discover this band and album. (This album came out during the height of grunge--1993.) Man, was I missing out!As great as bands like Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, and Night Ranger have been in the realm of melodic hard rock, this album in my mind is as worthy an entry as any of these other bands has ever submitted. Coming from me, a huge fan of these bands, that is definitely a compliment. All I can say to fans of melodic rock is this: Get this album!! It is worth the import price and is guaranteed to bring life to your CD collection. Strongly recommended purchase.

WOW!!
Harem Scarem - WOW! What a great album. This is a superb collection of beautiful melodic rock songs. You have to listen to this music if you're at all interested in skillful yet catchy melodic rock in the vein of Giant, Extreme, Hardline etc. These guys can do no wrong! Great playing all round especially the awesome guitars. Killer vocal melodies and harmonies. Absolutely perfect production. All their albums are great so it is very hard to rank them but this one has a nice balance of rock and melody and songwriting and magic. This genre of music has been done alot but there are a few standout acts who really know what they're doing and Harem Scarem is one of them. Enjoy!

AMAZING!
Where do you start with something like this? This album is perhaps THE SLEEPER of all time for Hard Rock fans. I only happened to come across it after buying their current release...which is HALF the record that Mood Swings is. Amazing songs from start to finish. This record is in a class of its own. This is a BENCHMARK type of release in terms of production quality, lyrical content as well as the AMAZING musicianship. Sizzling guitar with smooth, strong vocals! Here is a record that simply came out during a real down period for melodic hard rock and thus NEVER got the fanfare or praise it TRULY DESERVED. If you like this type of music and are considering this record....PUSH 'ORDER NOW'...IMMEDIATELY!! Thank me later.

I have been very happy with all the Harem Scarem albums I've purchased and this one is no exception. The first track is very good and there are many other songs on this album which really help get me motivated during workouts.

No Justice in the World
If in this world would be Justice, Harem Scarem would be remembered as one of the greatest bands ever instead of an obscure canadian hair metal band. If this would be a world of justice this would have been one of the best selling albums ever because it's absolutly fabolous. Impressive, exceptional, out of this world anthemic rock music, memorable in every single note. It's simply perfect. I had the bad luck to discover this album lately, because in the nineties even if I was very much in love with this genre of music, the fact that this band has never been distributed in the US took to the bad thing that the albums from the band have been relatively difficult to find. In my home town I never encountered their albums. But when one of my friends turned me onto this album few years back I became immediatly one of its loyal recommenders. It's beautiful beyond imagination, it's impossible to point out a tune or two because every tune is way over 10 cum laude. My personal favourites are "There was a time, "No justice in the world", the opener "Saviours never cry", but really, this is one of those albums that you start listening once and end a couple of years later. It's impossible not to love this album, not to fall in it and finding it hard to come out and listen to something else. Perfect music.
