**Q: Can this be used on clothing?**
A: Yes.  I have used it on a coat zipper and a pair of jeans. It also worked well on a backpack zipper.

**Q: does it stain clothing?**
A: no,, very little comes off the control tip, so no reason for substance to get on clothing   has worked great for me

We have little experience with products like this, so take that into account with this review. I found it a little tricky to get the pen started but then it worked well dispwnsing, in fact so much I'm storing it cap upwards as I'm afraid it will leak. It improved the performance of the zipper but didn't cure our problems. I can't say whether that is due to the product or just a bad zipper that no product would help!
