These are rather cheaply made (as others have noted, the back is hollow) and therefore they are expensive. Trouble is, I'm not sure what alternatives are available as there didn't seem to be a lot of choice on Amazon. I ordered these, which are bright gold, and a duller version in the hope that one set might be better than another. I didn't realize that it's the same manufacturer so aside from finish and design it's the same set of buttons.

Quality product at a great price. Put these on a quality blue blazer and they look great while also being a conversation starter since they duplicate the buttons on my dress greens.

I bought an amazing, well fitting, high quality navy blue blazer that had some boring "modern style" buttons. I swapped the buttons with these classic gold ones and received many compliments on the buttons alone! So far, the gold plating has held up very well!
