Excellent All Round
Bought this product in its early iteration in 2021 and I can confirm it is still holding just as strong as the first day. Mounted on the vent I have noted a few times across the years of the ball in socket loosening but easily can be tightened to stop dipping of the phone itself. Very easy to install and really strong magnetic mount even in rough terrain. The 7.5w charger does the job - have noted ESR now offers a 15w version as well as a cooling version and would highly recommend this if fast charging is a priority - will definitely upgrade once the original decides to stop working!

I would recommend
Good quality. We bought two of these and they work really well. Sticky pads are also good quality.

So near to perfect, yet so far...The best of a bad bunch?
There are very few options on the market at the moment in terms of a Magsafe compatible car mount, and there definitely doesn't appear to be one at all that will charge an iPhone at the same speed/power as the Apple Magsafe charger, so you are stuck at 7.5w (Qi) no matter what you go with. From that point of view - charging speed - this is as good as anything out there. As with every other product I have purchased from ESR, it is nicely packaged and of decent build quality. This will fit most vent types that I have now or have had in previous vehicles, however one of the biggest issues for me is the fact that the clamp is restricted to only being able to insert a couple of centimeters into the fan grill, despite the arm being at least double that length. This results in occasionally the whole mount coming adrift (if you knock it or move the phone in a certain way). It also means that the phone is some distance from the grill where it is mounted, resulting in it being less stable than if it is mounted flat to it. I have until now used magent holders in the grill and I like how flat to the dashboard one can mount a phone, and how stable that is.Mine is currently mounted in a VW Amarok and I am off road quite a bit in the countryside during my work, and the mount (with attached iPhone 13 Pro Max) does bounce around, increasingly as the ride gets bumpier. HOWEVER, apart from the movement, the phone (currently in an ESR Cloud HaloLock case) has not once fallen off from the mount. The level of magentic grip is excellent.I have never used a Qi or Magsage charger previously, and I am very pleased with the level of charging on my phone when using it, however I have just moved to a 13 Pro Max whose battery is astonishingly good so it may not be the best test of how well a phone is charging as mine spends most of its life at 75 percent plus.In summary, I am pleased with the holder which is sometimes in use for 16 plus hours a day, it could just do with being mounted closer to the dashboard, which would eliminate the movement on the holder over rough ground and make it as close to perfect as one might expect for a 7.5w Qi charger. It definitely appears to be the best option available at the moment.EDIT: ESR reached out to me and offered me the opportunity to try the dash mounted version of this at no cost. It was sent out and arrived next day. The dash mounted version is a pretty solid piece of kit and it is to an extent far more rigid in use than the vent mounted version, however it isn't what I wanted - I wanted a vent mount. That being said, the more I have used it the less I have noticed the vent mount moving and perhaps it was me being a little picky and with the fact that ESR tried to offer an alternative at no cost, I have added an extra star.

Works great and neat but beware USB load for wireless charging
Works great but note your car usb source might not be meaty enough to enable charging. Mine wasn’t!

Super strong grip, 15w fast charge. Winner!
The media could not be loaded. After weeks of testing various wireless chargers from lots of different brands (Mous, Spigen, Belkin etc) I was giving up hope until I found this one. Some of the other brands were okay to charge my device but had next to no grip for a car mount. Some of the other brands simply refused to charge my device and the excuse was "it's not an iPhone so we can't help"I have to give this charger a solid 5/5 or 10/10 whatever you like because it does what it is supposed to do brilliantly. It charges my phone fast and it holds my phone securely.Grip strength:Incredible! You can see in the video me slapping the phone to see quite when it'd fall off. You could go over a really nasty speed bump and it'd hold on just fine. One of the most expensive branded mounts I tested (mous) fell off after placing the full weight of my phone on it let alone trying to drive!Charging:This was my key issue with all of the other chargers. I have a Google Pixel 7 Pro and everyone says that they are not compatible - this is not true! I used an ESR Ring mount on the back of my Spigen case and when working with this wireless charger I get the full 15w charge as indicated on one of my images. Other devices would do 5w or be intermittent jumping between fast charge and no charge. This starts slowly for a few seconds then ramps up to the full 15w as expected. On a 5v only supply this will draw about 1A, at 9v it'll do a bit more but when the charger allows 12v you get the full fast charge from it. I've tested this with an in-car plug and various chargers for around the house to check the actual output. to get a solid 15w is GREAT.Fit:I've had issues in the past with vent mounts for phones and the way this mount is designed makes the hold a lot better. The little leg that folds down at the bottom takes all of the weight out of the mount so the phone just stays put. Once it's in the air vent it doesn't move and it can take some aggressive driving easily. You can hear the firm click when the phone mounts to the charger.Modifications:I modified my charger to sit on a Brodit pillar mount. This was as easy as taking off a single screw and using some 3M tape. This means it can sit neatly my my A-Pillar and it's REALLY secure. There isn't anything wrong with the vent mount, I just prefer to have my phone in that position and I've found suction mounts don't get the correct angle. I've been using a piece of metal in a phone case and some magnets glued to the brodit mount for about a year so swapping to this far neater and easier solution is great. No more plugging in wires too.
