Mollaspace - Black Deck of Playing Cards - By Balance Wu

This review was designed for by both Laymen (Card players) and Magicians/Illusionists alike.For the Laymen out there that are just using these for a deck of playing cards, These are definitely something beautiful to work with! They are in fact solid plastic, MAKE NOTE THESE ARE BRIGDE SIZED - NOT STANDARD POKER!!.. They have a lovely glossy feel to them. The issue that you'll find with these, is that the print is super dark and has to be tilted towards light to know which card you have. Now mind me when I say this... because it's not difficult to read the card, they just have a unique design. You can even have someone looking at your hand from behind you and not know what you have. So if you'd like to play card games with something that will have your friends talking about your new deck for a few hours or days... then these are perfect for you. Also note that I'm pretty sure they are just as washable as all other plastic playing cards.As for you Illusionists/magicians out there, these are something different. Normally I've tried a few others like KEM cards, Bicycle Prestige, and Royals. And as you would figure.... they don't fan well. Well these actually do. (I've haven't bother to powder them yet). They are as mentioned above 100% plastic, MAKE NOTE THESE ARE BRIGDE SIZED - NOT STANDARD POKER!!. They have beautiful artwork on them, even though you have to tilt them a bit in light to define the specific card. Mind me the way that I'm making this sound... it's not difficult at all to see the difference between a 7 of D % the Jack of S.They are a rather thicker deck about 1/4'' more than standard Bicycle. But they are pretty great for things like Sybils and card springs. You'll see what i'm talking about if you get them. Just as well since they are solid black with visible etchings - they appear to look like a deck of "Just Black" cards.

These cards are beautiful. They are solid black so don’t complain about how easy they are to see. They are stunning and I love them. Have purchased several. Not for playing in dim light but I use them for other things.

These playing cards are very well designed and made of nice sturdy material. I love the interesting images for the high cards and especially the joker. However, I tried ordering this set from the actual designer's website but, I was having trouble so I ordered it off amazon. I ended up paying seven more for shipping and such. I was disappointed about that. But, I love these cards. They make an awesome gift for that card player in your life or a design fanatic.

I got to admit I love these cards they're nice and sturdy to an extent and I love the motifs on them just beautiful and very interesting their unique is well in my eyes, now what I highly recommend these? Definitely even if you have a hard time seeing hey this is one of the cool benefits of it there different.

Personally, these give me a headache and I won't play with them, BUT I bought them for my teenage son who LOVES them. They are very hard to read if you don't have enough light at the right angle, so anyone with vision problems won't appreciate them. Also they are slightly smaller than standard cards--an advantage for smaller-handed people.

This is a great set of cards with an awesome printing technique that let the cards only be seen at the right angle under the light. I love this deck but I really wish the publisher would have chosen a better case for the cards. The cardboard case that comes with them doesn't really match the cards and could have really improved their quality had a higher quality plastic case been used.

I bought these cards for my boyfriend who's a fan of all things dark. It was a great gift-he loved them and had no idea such a thing existed.The art on the cards are pretty gnarly. The only thing I would have to say is that they aren't as sturdy as your standard Bicycle cards and a little bit pricey. Novelty, nonetheless!

The cards themselves, and as a magician the fact that sometimes they can be hard to read will definitely work towards my advantage. However, when the package arrived the deck box had already been opened, and the cards were mixed up and such. As far as I can tell, there is no damage to the cards, and all 54 cards (the 4 suits and 2 jokers) are there. However, there was no double-sided card, or card containing information about the company, both of which are normally included in decks like this. Nothing of great value was lost, but I don't enjoy my orders being opened and played with before I receive them.
