functional, dishwasher safe, floppy spoon rests. maybe not as cool as "hand thrown pottery'[ or something, but I can't just stick that in the dishwasher.

Most of my kitchen cooking utensils are silicone, which is why I was excited to purchase a resting spoon made of silicone.The spoon does not disappoint. Yes it is flexible and might seem like it would bent easily, however it really is sturdy and big enough to hold any kitchen utensil you decide to use. I dont really have any heavy metal or plastic cooking utensils, so I dont know how it would do supporting something heavy, but from the looks of it it seems it will be just as useful, and compatible.I choose the color red, although I do wish they offered more colors, especially a black color, but hey this spoon adds a little sass to my kitchen by being bright red :)The best thing about silicone products is that they are extremely easy to clean, they are dishwasher safe, but honestly food does not stick to it, so a simple and fast wash get it looking brand new. It also does not slip in your stove, I used to have a plastic and it would easily slide if when I would place something to it, then it got burned. With the silicone spoon I dont have to worry about that. It does not slide!Overall I am very happy with the item, and a plus to ordering to ordering this product is the fact the company guarantees you will be happy or your money will be return. The media could not be loaded.  I have been transitioning many of the items in my kitchen over to silicone. I think it is a great material to work with. It is non-stick, easy to clean, easy to use, and dishwasher/oven/freezer safe. I had never seen silicone spoon rests before, and it was something I could definitely use so I knew I had to add these to my collection. I was really impressed when they came in the mail at just how big they are. I love the bright red color that I chose as well. These are so nice as they fit just about any utensil that I use in the kitchen from different sized spoons, to ladles, to spatulas. I really like the raised grippers that they have on them to keep the utensil from sliding off. The rounded well also keeps sauces, grease, and other liquids contained in the spoon rest so that they don't get all over the counter, table, or stove top. I have been using one on my stove or counter, and one on our table to put our serving spoons on. Since they are so flexible they can be stored together, and don't take up as much room as metal or plastic do. These would also be great for camping, picnics, or outdoor barbecues as they are easy to throw in a bag to take along, don't take up much room, and are easy to rinse off. These silicone spoon rests are no joke! The silicone material is wonderful because they don't budge at all on my countertop. And the way they are molded with the raised bumps on the spoon and handle rest areas make it so your spoon won't budge at all either! They are also really flexible and lightweight. The spoon rest is pretty large and the ladle area is nice and wide. It works with all of my spoons and even my spatulas, although, with the larger spatulas, I have to slide them down a bit so they don't drip over the edge. I can even use it with my spoons that are bottom heavy as long as I flip them upside down. To clarify, some of my spoons have a very heavy handle, but a light spoon head, so when I lay them on the spoon rest, the spoon head lifts up due to the weight of the handle. But if I flip them over, the spoon head stays down on the rest. (see pics)They were also super easy to clean. I just rinsed them under warm water and all of the food washed right off. I did also run them through the dishwasher and they came out perfectly. And the fact that this is a 2 piece set is awesome because I'm almost always using more than one spoon or spatula. Before I bought these, I was just resting my spoons on a paper towel or napkin, and that just got sticky and messy. These spoon rests are a wonderful addition to my kitchen. And the red color is so bright and festive, I can leave them out and they actually brighten up my kitchen!Overall, I would absolutely recommend these spoon rests.
