The Infernal Gospel

I have no doubt I will read it again.It's basic and it's short. Due to the very spaced out layout of the text, border on every page and multiple blank pages it's a quick read. I only received the book on the 25th of May, I'm nearly done reading it and it's only the 27th and that's with just a little light reading before bed the past two evenings and then deciding to finish it up today. The contents are good. Well written and interesting. I think it could be more comprehensive and have more meat to it. I don't know if Rev Cain has authored other books, I'm only just starting to explore theistic satanism and this book is my first.I have to say I'm glad I bought the paperback as I'd have been extremely disappointed to recieve this had I spent on the hardcover.

It's a reasonably well-written look into the mindset of the modern theistic Satanist and his attempts to create meaning and morality in a world flanked by traditional religion on the one hand and atheist philosophies on the other. That said, I still didn't really get a sense of how the author thinks one is to practically commune with the diabolic. He says that the True Satanist™ should perform rituals to consort with demons - and that atheists and posers should not apply - but also fails to provide whatever rituals and enns etc have worked for him. This seems like a serious oversight for something purporting to be a gospel. By all means bring me the good news of your pantheon, but don't leave before telling me how you think successful interaction with your entities is accomplished.

It's a very easy read, well spaced out but very short too. If you're wanting more in depth information you're going to want to try elsewhere. Feels like Rev Cain is giving a bit of info for you to buy another and get a bit more.
