Great little low cost projector for small installations
I'm interested in using a portable projector with a Raspberry Pi to do some A/R work (projecting images on surfaces)0. This little projector hits the spot. I've purchased several other low power projectors, and this one has both better brightness, and also more uniform focus across the image. Though not perfect for reading the fine text of the Raspberian UI, it is useable. It also runs from 12V DC from a regular barrel plug, so is easily adapted to run from batteries. The built in speakers are surprisingly loud.I haven't tested out it's other multi-media capability (ability to play JPEG or MPEG files), but the interface is available both from the box, and the remote.I also haven't loaded the USB port yet to see how much it can support - the manual didn't say. I suspect however that it won't be able to power the Pi (close to an amp). Hoping to get an answer from the MFR on that.

As the other reviews state, it is rather loud. No one has mentioned that the image is very pixelated and not very crisp. Must place projector completely parallel to the wall as it does not have options to adjust side tilt. Power cable becomes very hot. You get what you pay for.

Great projector
I love this projector. I bought it to watch movies in my back yard with the family and so far it has been great. The resolution is good as long as it's dark and I was pleasantly surprised at how much sound comes out of this small box. I would definitely recommend it to my friends.

It projects! Smaller words aren't as visible from a distance but I purchased a projector to watch movies/play videos and it does exactly that. HDMI cable is not included so be sure to purchase one separately!

Good mini-projector for the price
The media could not be loaded. Although it's not quite small enough to fit in the palm of my hand, this micro video projector is pretty small and it doesn't weigh much either. It's easy to take along when I travel so I can watch movies off my portable hard drive rather than pay to watch something at the hotel. It's also nice to be able to project movies outside when we have neighborhood kids over to swim. This portable projector is easy to set up and simple to operate. It comes with a simple user manual in both English and Chinese, a lens cover, an RCA cable, a power cord, and a remote powered by 2 AAA batteries (which are not included). The projector has an HDMI port, a VGA port, a USB interface that supports external hard drives, an SD Card reader port, an AV in, audio out, and TV port. It's simple to select the input and start using. I thought the built in speakers did a good job, although I couldn't find any way to adjust the volume. When it's on it's simply on - although there is a mute button on the remote, there's no volume control. It does have a headphone jack however, and you can hook it up to external speakers to really maximize the theater like experience. This mini-projector has several features which I like:- it's small enough to take it anywhere you want to project games or movies as long as you have power available- the picture quality is actually sharp and clear- the volume and sound quality of the internal speakers is good enough to use without needing external speakers- it has an LED bulb that should last up to 20,000 hrs (per the manufacturer)Overall this is a good mini-projector for the price, but I'm giving it four stars rather than five because:- the power cord is too short (38")- no volume control- gets hot to touch during useRetail sample provided at no cost by manufacturer for evaluation purposes

It's Loud, and gets hot
We love the size, but I agree with the other reviewers, that it is less than 4 star rating. It's not too small or large. But, the quality of the unit is not great due to some dirt that was on the inside lens. After cleaning it, it worked better. But, how can it be dirty if it's a sealed system? And, it gets hot and is loud. This was given in exchange for an honest review.
