I do not recommend this product
Used this product in my Osprey backpack on a 5-day backpacking trip. The first and only time I used it inside the pack as intended it leaked all over the inside of my pack. The tube connection to the bladder failed/leaked. For the rest of the trip I was unable to use the drinking tube due to leaking. I had to use the bladder inverted/upside down as a water storage bag. Thankfully I had 2 small backup Nalge water bottles with me. I do not recommend this product.

Water tastes terrible :(
I hate leaving one star reviews but unfortuantely I have to here. There were two major problems with the bag.1) It leaks despite me putting in the tube really tightly. I even unscrewed it and redid it with the help of my male roommate. Still leaked.2) The water tastes TERRIBLE. It tastes like plastic. I know this is BPA free, so maybe it's not harmful, but I couldn't stand to drink from it.I will be contacting the supplier to try and return it.

Just like camelBak, if not, BETTER.
I have been an avid hiker for the last three years, a camper since I was a child, and a cyclist for the last year. Those three hobbies all have one thing in common---the necessity of staying hydrated. Carrying water bottles is just okay for me for two reasons: I don’t like how it makes my backpack feel awkward and bulky, and I don’t like how you can’t put ice in a water bottle. Hydration packs are an AWESOME thing to have, especially in the summer time. What I like to do is fill it up with as much ice as I can, then fill the rest of it up with water. Having ice-cold water on my hikes is seriously the BEST thing.I got a hydration backpack from a thrift-store a while back that I have been wanting to use badly. However, since I bought it at a thrift store, I was VERY hesitant to use the bladder that came with it, because who knows whose mouth has been on that straw?! I was fortunate enough to be about to receive this one to try out. Right out of the box, there were a couple things that I liked. The first was the color, which was an army green and true to its color. The second thing I liked was that the straw part was long and cover with a protective cloth material of the same color. The bladder itself is made of a rubbery plastic material that most bladders are made of, and there was no rubbery taste when drinking from it. What I appreciated the most from this bladder was that the straw tube is able to be screwed on and off. The enabled me to properly clean the tubing as well as the bladder. There were no leaks anywhere. The straw opening is reminiscent of this bladder’s comparable and more expensive name-brand cousin, the camelback (which I own two of), which you have to bite down to sip water. Honestly, the quality of this bladder compared to camelback is uncanny, and yet it is only a fraction of the price. If I have to provide any constructive criticism for future hydration bladders, it is to make the protective cloth longer. Mine was just a little short of the length of the straw tube.Would I buy another? Yes. Would I recommend it to another outdoorsman/woman? Yes. Great product at a great price.Disclaimer: I received this product at a promotional price for reviewing purposes.
