Holy Bible: King James Version, Dake's Annotated Reference Hardcover – Large Print, January 1, 1999

This is, bar none, the best study Bible, I've ever encountered. Used the world over, by ministries where you really see God's presence, grace, power, and glory in action. If you want to be on fire for the Lord, and grow ever-increasingly closer to Him, this is a wonderful Bible to learn from!This Bible is a pure joy to read, more than any other study Bible I've used. Make sure to have a few bookmarks and a note pad handy. You will find yourself blissfully digging, and digging, (and making notes), and digging some more. It's a gold mine of information, interesting facts, linked data, history, etc. It is truly FUN to read and study. Even if you're of a non-Charismatic belief system, the big majority of the notes and commentaries would still apply to you! All "hot" denominations, whether Baptist, Assemblies of God, Full Gospel, etc. will be blessed, encouraged, educated and edified by this Bible.I purchased the large text, large notes, genuine leather Bible. It is just beautiful and will be used and cherished for many years to come. This version, (ISBN-13: 978-1558291225 / ISBN-10: 1558291229) is huge. All the text is easy to read. I bought 2 extra Dake Bibles for Christmas presents this year. I just wish Dake or someone else, would make a semi-stiff leather case, or well made high denier nylon one, which would fit this Bible. I've only been able to find cheap looking vinyl ones, which will no doubt wear out quickly. This very large version is not the one you take to church, this is mostly for study. Get a smaller sized Dake for toting around.P.S. If you're a person who attends a "dull" church, and/or you feel unfulfilled, unsatisfied, unsaved, lost, confused, and a 100 miles from God - reading this Bible and it's wonderful commentary and study notes, would be a big help. Don't let the fact it's a King James scare you. Any words or expressions, which may be hard at first, are lovingly explained. You will be guided from subject to subject, and reading to reading. Just ask God to help you understand, and He will. If you've never really read a Bible, look in the back in the "concordance" (a list of words in the Bible and where they're located) and pick a word or topic, and go exploring!You may be seeking God, and not know how to find Him. You may not even know Him yet, but HE knows YOU. Did you know that even the hairs on your head are numbered?! (Matthew 10:30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.) Seek Him and you shall find Him. You need to be saved, by trusting in His Son, Jesus Christ. You can learn about this in the Bible, and from many good websites. I pray you will be blessed! This bible is the only one you will ever need. KJV bible on the inside of the page and all Dakes's notes around the outside. Brilliant for study as all the notes are right next to the scripture so there is no need to juggle 2 books. It is not just a commentary, but contains loads of information about every bible subject, gathered during Dake's study of the Word of God. There is no man dead or alive who knew more about the Word of God, Finis Dake dedicated his whole life to understanding the Bible and was known as the 'walking bible'. He pastored several churches, started a bible school and hosted a radio broadcast twice daily for 13 years answering scriptural questions. This is a large and heavy book, I use it at the kitchen table and when reading on the lounge or in bed, I have Dakes Study Notes on my iPad. (You can get that from Olive Tree). If you want to learn the truth about the Bible, this book unlocks everything, but be warned once you pick it up you won't be able to put it down! This will give you the facts with no fluff! Every comment and fact is 100% scripture based, no theories or opinions in this book!

This is a wonderful Study Bible that is Beautifully done. One nice feature is that prophecy's are marked with a black star, promises with a black triangle, Commands with a black circle and message from God with a Black Box. The Bible uses the King James text witch is an excellent version, its two sided columned and has notes on the side columns and bottom. The notes are conservative Christian, evangelical, and Dispensational. The Notes help define and explain the text, key words are shown to us in the Original Hebrew and Greek and are defined. There are also Book outlines and information at the end of each book as well as notes which contain questions and where they are answered in the text, lists, Doctrines, Words study's, Character studies, and much more. In the Back of the Bible are Maps, Diagrams, Dispensational Charts, and a complete Concordance and Cyclopedia index. This Bible is a wonderful Study Tool.

I've really enjoyed using this "large print" version of the Dake's study bible. As with the other versions, the Dake's are a wonderful resource for topic research as the references cited get you started quickly in the right direction. The physical pages are thicker than the other versions which I found to be helpful as you jump through the many citations. The layout in this version is definately roomier then the others as the columns of text are not as jammed together. How this author kept these references together in such a dynamic and organized method is truly a testimony to how comprehensive the text or "the word" is. Without the use of a computer I'd love to see his filing methods! I would recommend this publication to the study enthusiast and to those who desire to find more treasure by diving deeply within the text and it's many scriptural references..

I'v been sitting here trying to find the word's to say about this Bible Finis Dake has written. It is truely a God given, Jesus teaching, holy spirit insight. I believe God has used him to such a degree that generations could be saved with this Annotated Reference Bible. One of the things i love the most about it is the plan of the ages picture in the back of the book "AWSOME". I'v always wanted to get closer to God, and one day i was visiting my brother and he pulled this book out i read just a few passages in it and looked through it. The next day i ordered it, i must say it was the best investment i could ever have done and now i am closer to God and i will not have it any other way. AWSOME,AWSOME,AWSOME.
