Pray, Hope, and Don't Worry: True Stories of Padre Pio Book II Paperback – September 26, 2011

Arrived fast! Wonderful wonderful reading about the greatest Saint ever, in my opinion. I still have a hard time believing that I actually lived and breathed the same time as this great Saint. He died 7 days before my 14th birthday. I read about so many Saints who lived hundreds of years ago and for God to have sent this humble friar to give people faith to get through both 20th century world wars is amazing. I picked up the only Padre Pio prayer booklet in our church after Mass, no one around but me, I thought. As I picked it up to look through it, a little old man came up behind me and with pride in his voice told me "I SAW him." I just said "Really." thinking this priest probably came to Denver or the Springs and he saw him there. I had not a clue who Padre Pio was! I now deeply regret not asking this man where he saw him, after watching the dvd Padre Pio Miracle Man 10 years later and finding out he never left San Giovanni Rotundo! So now, after reading volumes 1 and 2 of Pray, Hope and Don't Worry, I can only assume the little old man was one of the soldiers who attended Padre Pio's Masses!

Just when you would think there couldn't be one more true story to be told about this wonderful saint, Pray, Hope, and Don't Worry: True Stories of Padre Pio Book II is available. A true masterpiece. What I have received from reading these two excellent books, is a closer relationship to a saint who STILL performs miracles on a daily basis. Padre Pio and I have a strong, loving bond and I have seen numerous miracles. When I pray with others, asking for his loving assistance, there is a transformation of body, mind and soul. He is a modern day miracle worker. I hope the next book is a collection of the many miracles that are happening this very day.God Bless All of You and I wish you well.Patti Angel Karlton

This is a great book. This was the first book that I wished it would not end.Not only interesting but also these stories will deepen your faith and bring you closer to God.These stories kept me awake until the wee hours in joy and awe!These stories gave me the strength and spiritual energy for the next day.My son in his early thirties read this book and told me that his faith became unshakable.He started recommending the book to others as I have done since I read this book.The book 2 is also a great read.I highly recommend these awesome books.

What an amazing book!! Reading this book was one of the graces of my life. I consider Padre Pio to be my spiritual father and reading the testimonies and the unimaginable miracles not only developed my faith in him, it has strengthened my spiritual experience in knowing and loving Christ through one's sufferings. Padre Pio loved Christ through his sufferings. He was a man of great virtues. He was modest, pure, gentle, humble, submissive to his superiors, charitable. He imitated Christ in every way and through his stigmata too. This book is not just for the Catholics, but for every skeptical non-Catholic Christian. 2 takeaways for me from this book would be to practice self-denial and penance

I have read quite a few books on Padre Pio and have enjoyed them all. However, this book by Diane Allen and her first in this two volume series, were a pleasant addition to my library.Many of the stories in these books are ones that I had not heard before and I enjoyed them immensely. Each seemed like a little gem to uncover. Very uplifting, very inspirational. Mrs. Allen did a great job in her research and in finding people who had their own personal stories to tell about Padre Pio. Loved it! Didn't want it to end. I hope there is another book coming! I highly recommend this book as a gift to anyone, including yourself.

This book was sold as used. It looks like a brand new book. Does not show signs of being opened or read. I have not had time to read but I am sure I will be pleased with it.
