Read Everynight. Ages 4 & 2
I checked this book originally from the library. My boys (4 & 2) loved it so much that I made the purchase. The illustrations in the book are wonderful and captured my boy's attention. The story is about a boy, who gets over his fear (monsters) by using his imagination. His beloved stuffed lion shows him how to be brave. There is one page in which all the animals "Roar!" to get rid of the monster. My boys & I let out our largest roars too. But, now I see them roaring around the house a lot more.... I think it is fun. However, each parent is different.

... old son and his 4 year old cousin absolutely love this book
My 2 1/2 year old son and his 4 year old cousin absolutely love this book. My son has memorized the pages and words, and he get's ready to "ROAR" away his fears every time we read it. The pictures are absolutely beautiful, which makes reading this book over and over and over again a pleasure.

One of my 4 year old’s favorites.
We first got this from the library and my son loved it. Eventually, I bought it for us and he regularly chooses it for his bedtime story. It’s short and sweet and the pictures are beautiful.

My daughter loved this book!
Richard is scared. He knows that monsters don't exist, but the noises he keeps hearing in the darkness of his bedroom are frightening. So he takes his stuffed animal, Lionheart, and runs away, as fast as he can. He runs so far that he reaches a magical jungle filled with animals. Lionheart then becomes a real lion and teaches Richard about being brave. The illustrations are classic and fill each page with imagination and beauty. The style reminds me of Where the Wild Things Grow, and will be a favorite with both children and parents. The font is large and the vocabulary fits well for the intended age. Children will be able to relate to Richard and his flight from something scary. The message that the text is bringing out will be great for young children who need to face their fears. This book would be great for parents with small children, or used in a classroom setting to talk about being brave.I received this book free of charge from Children's Lit in exchange for my honest review.

A Classic for Every Child's Collection
This is an amazing simple yet imaginative story for any child who is struggling with a bedtime fear. My three year old insisted we read it every night... for over 60 days straight. I think young and old can appreciate this tale! The hardcover makes it worth while, and this is a keeper for every child's collection.
