If fully extended, the lowest section of the shaft tends to wobble when pressure is applied. The built in flash light is bright, but is turned on and off by screwing on/off the bezel rather than by a switch so the bezel is loose when the light is not in use

Awesome walking stick ! And cane. I got this for my husband who needs a cane and I don't know why someone said it would not be good for a cane because it's great for my husband. My husband is still young and unfortunately needs the assistance of a cane but hates the big bulky huge handled "old" persons cane. He loves this and the fact that it has a flashlight that van be swiveled up and down blows his other cane out of the water. I could see it being hard for maybe an elderly person but they would need a special balancing cane anyways. I'm so happy I found this for him. It's put together well and it will be used ALOT, I'll update in future as to how it holds up.I was lucky enough to get a discounted price to try this item out and let people know how it worked out for me. I like this trekking stick. At first I thought that having the flashlight attached to the handle was going to be a gimmick. But it really was useful. I was able to stick it in place while I was setting up my hammock at night. I could aim it so it was not shooting in my eyes like having a flash light sitting on the ground. Nicely built just wish it had better shock system.I received this product at discount or free for my honest review.

I ordered a couple of these for my older family members for our excursions into the family property, then I realized that I might want one as well. A lot of times, especially where we have property, the footing isn't the best. A lot of muddy areas, everything is wet in the marsh. Walking around without a walking stick is tough at times. Everytime I've been to the property I've used a branch as a walking stick, figured it's time I get one made just for that purpose. This walking stick is very nice. It's sturdy as can be, I've put all of my weight on it, and it didn't seem stressed. It's adjustable, within just a few seconds. It does have a replaceable tip in case you use it on cement a lot, can get a new rubber tip for it. It would be great for elderly family members who are fighting their age. If grandma doesn't want to use a walker or cane, get her a fancy hiking stick, she may be more prone to use this instead. Granny isn't old and frail, she's into adventure and exploring the world!!! Haha. Worth a shot at least. It fits under the seats in my boat, takes up no space at all really. The first water mocossain I run into will get flipped out the way with this stick. It's much more snake venom resistant than my legs as well. It gets to poke around before I step down somewhere. I did receive this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review.
