Good Hardware
Android image that it ships with is a bit different than the typical mobile android. It wasn't hard to use, just different. It should be noted that there are not media codecs for for arm processors for non android operating systems. So despite What some people have said about the internet not working for streaming video, it's not the Ethernet. Its not able to process it properly and quickly with out a codec and that codec only exists in android. For example the ubuntu image for this device does not have media codecs. If you intend on using this device for media android would be recommended.Nand flash is a great feature. It allows you to boot much faster than an sd card. The hardware on this board is pretty good for the price. The only reason that this gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the lack of community support for this product. It does take a lot of knowledge if you want to do anything that isn't stock on this device.

Great development board to start with or use as a ...
Great development board to start with or use as a menial task operator like an xmbc server as it is only Dual-Core and you know it. It also has SATA port which is great but when I tried to install an OS on the SSD i put in this, it would not boot from it. Maybe someone has gotten around this but thats where I left it. Great for what it is though!

Good for android but not for Linux / Distro
Ethernet / LAN is not working well.If android is good enough for you this board will work OK. That is why I gave 1 star. You'll be able to install android, lubuntu and linario/ubuntu 12.04 to nand and microsd however ethernet is not working well and video streaming is very very slow(my internet is 15mbps).I bought this because I want to connect to our 60" TV and be able to play all my videos, music and videos online and use as a normal pc. Apparently this machine will fail you and I tried every possible things that the cubieforum suggest but no joy.I think you'll have a better chance to make it work if your linux skill is between 9 to 10.
