Replaced Cisco router 5 years ago, the Juniper SRX is still up since then!

Good Option for Experienced Users
Up front: I am NOT an experienced Juniper user. I purchased this renewed SRX300 for my own use as a training aid.The unit arrived well packaged and in excellent condition. Everything was as promised. The installed firmware is functional but dated. The command line interface works fine for initial and ongoing configuration. I had issues configuring the device using J-Web wizards because the on-board configuration files have a known compatibility issue (IRB vs. VLAN interfaces) with the firmware version. The issue is easily resolved if you're experienced editing config files via the command line interface or have an active software download plan you can use to upgrade the device... I'm not and I don't. Rather than struggle through the process to resolve the issue, I returned the unit and spent the extra money on new.All that said, I had no issue returning the unit and I found this vendor to be very responsive... Thank-you Brandon!Bottom Line: This is a great option if you have the experience and access to the support resources needed to upgrade the unit.
