Legend has it that in the 18th century a Spanish ship took refuge from a raging storm in the sheltered harbour of Dundee, Scotland. Its cargo included Seville oranges which were purchased on speculation by a Dundee grocer called James Keiller. It was Mrs. Keiller who saw the potential of these bitter Spanish oranges. She boiled the oranges with sugar and the resulting product was the delicious preserve now known as Dundee Orange Marmalade. Today the Keiller name carries forth the tradition of using only the finest ingredients in their range of premium marmalades and preserves.

This stuff is heavenly
These preserves are wonderful; crisp and flavorful. If you like orange marmalade you will like the tanginess of ginger preserves. Amazon.com is the only place I have been able to find them. Watch out because many manufacturers make a mixture of ginger and orange, but the pure ginger is the best. This item comes through another dealer, their service has been very good and have contemplated getting other products from them.

Good
I love ginger preserves but it's hard to find in local stores. I appreciate being able to order and have it delivered to my door. Keiller Dundee is very good, nice taste and texture but could use more pieces of ginger.

The real thing
Now this is the real ginger preserves. Several others I tried were mostly ginger jelly. This on is full of bits of ginger and just delicious! Love it.

Ginger! Ginger! Sweet Ginger
It is the best Ginger Preserve I ever have tasted. I have been using it for the last 20 years.. My only regret is that it was poorly packed and two jars out of six-jar package were found shattered and had to return it. The Preserve itself is the bast tasting product among all brands..

Amazing with vanilla ice cream
Another great product from the British! The jar looks cute, and the contents are top notch. I took a suggestion and used it as a topping for vanilla ice cream...wow! Perfect with crumpets too, which I have every morning.

It's not my thing ...
Perhaps this is an acquired taste, but I was so-so about it. I am sure many will love it and defend it, but it did not work for me.On the other hand, I absolutely love the Dundee orange marmalade and Dundee lime marmalade. I will be ordering more of those since the Dundee lime is impossible to find here in Atlanta (but it may be available). The seller sent it very fast and it was well packaged.

A fantastic preserve and without a doubt the best ginger available on earth! If ginger is your thing, you owe it yourself to try it. Absolutely fantastic. There is one downside... It is a little on the small side. My son and I killed it lickety split. A real tragedy, if you ask me.

Best available, great seller
Great transaction. When one jar of several arrived with the top leaking, the company replaced it with no hassle. Thanks! The double trip--across the pond and then to my house--must have done one of several jars in. Yes, several, I'm addicted to this stuff, so it pays to stock up! (I think Hediard is better, but seems no longer available here.)Anyway, this company is a class act. Thanks for the great service. Also, their shipping prices are quite reasonable, which is a real plus.
