As you can see from the photos there are a lot of switches, encoders and push buttons. Trying to made solder connections would be a great undertaking. Just in the panel along there are 100 or so solder connections. Just imaging having to do that twice! The terminal board has been a life saver and during the check out phase there were several encoders wired backwards. Easy to made the switch with the terminals vs unsoldering and resoldering the connections. A jewel screwdriver works well and although the terminals are close together it’s way better than the alternative. I did tin the wires to make it easier to terminate the wires.
