This fence is really working out for us. We have a small dachshund who needs to be contained in a room that has a very wide entry and this was the only one that went wide enough for the opening, but we didn't need some super tall, ugly metal gate, and many of them wide enough to go across had openings so big our dog could get through. She had also chewed through a few gates that were all wood, so this was nice that it was framed in wood but mostly wire otherwise. It is a little flimsy, but we just wanted something that didnt look super ugly, was wide enough to go across, and we have a small dog that isn't going to struggle against it so we don't need something thats that durable.

I wish I would not have purchased this gate. The top and bottom slats are easy for dogs and children to put their arms threw. It's also only high enough to keep small dogs from jumping it. If your dog is high energy, they may try to chew on the thin metal wires. This gate is dangerous for my high energy level dog with the ability to jump. If you have an elderly or low energy small dog, this gate would work for you. It's become a challenge to return. I'll be donating it to a neighbor without children who has elderly dogs.

easy to put together but after 3 weeks of use, its wobbly and my puppy is escaping easily as there is no tension between the 2 walls to hold it tightly due to it being wobbly. I would not buy this product again. I am forced to put 2 chairs on either end of the gate to hold it in place. My puppy is only 12 lbs at this point, so I don't think it would work for a dog any larger. They can just push it and escape. Defeats the whole purpose of the gate.

Pain in the rear to assemble. Predrilled holes are not completely drilled the length of the screw. I had a hard time completing assembly because of it and the darn thing still is off and the screws stick out and the ends get knocked about making it less and less sturdy. The picture makes it look easy to adjust but no, all of the screws need to be undone to adjust the length. The knobs do make it easier to assemble & to adjust the width. At least it looks good and serves its purpose. Worth the price.

The assembly instructions were awful. You can see 2 holes on each 'side' piece but there are no corresponding holes on the main piece. You need to screw into the frame even though there are no holes. Good thing I have a drill as I could never screw them into the frame with a manual screwdriver.

Absolute trash. I opened the box to be greeted with all parts present, but with the following flaws:- Screws tightened so hard the wood was cracked, with the finish plainly laid over top of the crack- Clearly bent wire, one leg of which pushed out and left a deep scratch in the wood- 4 screws, of which one was bentIn addition, when assembled the gate rattles because it doesn't sit flat on the ground. The holes for the screws are also too shallow, so the provided screws will protrude unless you want to really torque on them and risk splitting the wood.

I don't use This for pets but it is actually a perfect gate for toddlers from keeping them from going upstairs, or just put it in a doorway. Easy to carry around, and set wherever you need to, very light and well made for the price.

finally found a sturdy gate for our 71" opening between the kitchen and living room. came in 4 easy parts to install. 2 screws go into each side support - and then either 2 or 3 knob-ended screws to put the 2 gate pieces together at your desired height. even came with a handy phillips/straight screw driver. nice mission style oak color and wire grates. very sturdy. not very tall - but don't need a tall one for our dog! much better than any other "pressure" gates out there!
