Will Last Forever
Build Quality not perfect, but as good as it usually is on a outdoor cooking grill. Impressive strength and weight. Burning off or removing the black paint before cooking food directly on the grill is a real chore. Might be easier to cook with pots and pans first few times and burn off the paint with use. High heat can warp this grill, but the weight is so heavy that it will lay flat even with minor warp. I think use over time will even out any warp you might get from the occasional hot fire. Cut out letters in the steel warn idiots " caution hot". I think the maker would be better off warning idiots in English and Spanish, you could have " caution hot" on one side, and " caliente" on the other side. Very sturdy grill that may get stolen, but will never wear out or break.

Awesome fire pit cooking grate! It fits our 30 inch square fire pit perfectly! See pictures and description below.
Awesome cooking grate! Heavy HEAVY duty! Our fire pit is 30 inches by 30 inches and this fits perfectly! My main concern with buying this was that the bottom "lip area" of the grate would not sit down inside the 30 inch square. Not only does it fit, but it has about 3 inches of wiggle room on each side. We are very happy, AND the top has plenty of of overhang so there's no risk of it falling in. It also holds heat very well and for a long time after the fire is out. The handles are great as they do not get hot. This is an all around great cooking grate!

Just received this today, so have not been able to try it out yet. As others have mentioned, this is obviously very study and solid and should certainly last quite a long while. The metal is thick enough that a little rust after a while won't be a problem. Simply hit it with the wire brush and coat with oil to season, just as you would with cast iron cookware. Seasoned early, and correctly, you should not get any rust at all.The 2 handles are very study and a very nice addition. I plan to use this on my firepit that as an opening of 24 inches x 36 inches. The ends on each side that are meant to lay on top of the bricks measure 7.5 inches, which makes this usable over a range of fire pit sizes.

Sturdy!
This is a great great. Made of steel, it is painted black. I have cooked with a HEAVY cast iron pot with no problems. Have used it 3x and the paint is bubbling in some spots, but not peeling. I do store this in a deck box because I realize there is a possibility of it rusting. So far, I’m very pleased with this purchase-definitely worth the money.

You won't regret buying it
The grill fit the fire pit very well. We were impressed with weight of it and it looks great! One person can pick it up, and it weighs about 30 pounds. It is easy to pick up and maneuver. The spacing of the rungs looks good and looks like a hot dog won't fall through. I am very happy with it, and it is an excellent value for the price. And so you know, the fire pit in the picture inside dimension is 26.5 measured. It easily could fit a 23 inch inside dimension, and on this fire pit it has about 2 inches of space play on either side underneath. We'll be barbequing this weekend!I researched fire pit grills for 2 weeks before buying this one, and am happy I did.You won't regret buying it.

Hmmm...Mixed Feelings...
First one sent...The paint had dripped badly the length of the grate...then the handles were badly chipped...I would of thought I bought a second..The quality was terrible for the so called coating...Returned with pictures...Second one and the paint drips aren’t there...Nicely painted on the grates...A few paint chips on the handle end down to shiny metal...Unsure how long this will last when I already have a few chips down to shiny metal...Just like a car...I question why the coating...expensive...made in USA...I didn’t go Wow nice grate...

I read all of the reviews based on that and it looks I purchased. Did any body read the directions that came withthe grate or did they read and just ignor. The Written directions state " do not put food directly on the grate (use aluminum foil) until after thegradual wearing away, by heat, of the painted coating." ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Selling a grate not safe to use onfood. Don't paint it just let me use it!I guess everybody just pulled it out of the box said this needs no instructions "Let's Grill" Had someone bothered to read and mentioned this restriction I would not have ordered!!
