Prewired CTS Volume Pot for Strat with Premium HDCustom Treble Bleed

I am the lead guitarist and for worship at my church, and I also handle quite a bit of lead and backing vocals. Singing and playing at the same time can be enough of a chore without having to worry about turning pedals on and off in the middle of a song. I like to use the volume knob on my Strat to maneuver between clean and dirty, but the sacrifice in clarity has always bugged me. I was watching a Rig Rundown of Andy Timmons' gear and he mentioned using the treble bleed mod. When he demonstrated it, the interviewer noted that there wasn't as much of a perceived volume drop; the signal simply cleaned up dramatically. I figured this would be the perfect solution, so I ordered this one. After installing and testing it, I am pleased with the results. I can leave my overdrives engaged and roll the volume off to clean it up without losing clarity. I will be adding this mod to my other guitars as well.

It sounds perfect. Does what I want. When I turn it down the volume there is a bit of a change in tone, but in a pleasant way. I'd say the sound gets lighter and airier instead of getting darker like it did before. For my purposes it's perfect.

At not much more expensive that a volume pot, this was a no brainer if you use treble bleeds. The only issue I had with the one I used was the pot's volume taper was harder to turn. It did not turn as easy. Will hopefully break in some but overall very handy if you want something ready to solder in without messing with a treble bleed.
