Review: Great Product - I have used this for about a week with my 360 and ps3. It works great. The sound is amazing. There is a slight hiss, but I should not even mention it. I am an audio nut and it is minor. It is only when there is no audio and you turn down the volume during that or use these headphones open ear bud feature so you don't have to wear the headset while waiting for the game lobby to finish. You hear it like in game lobbies and out of 10 being noticable it is like a 1-2 depending on the volume. Once the game gets started, the music alone stops the static and you add gunfire, sound effects, and chat you hear notice no hiss. Minor. I've heard worse static. Once the audio kicks in it really pops. It has a sound has atmosphere where it seems to go about 8-15 feet around you. Chat sound is great. Talking is clear both when you hear it and when you talk. Ps3 setup was a breeze. Just watch the video on youtube or the video on here that is the last picture. If you have a nicer hd tv or a surround sound system do not buy the processor to get 5.1 sound. It is not needed. This headset can receive pro logic 2 virtual surround sound and extremely close to the real thing. You just lose a little bit of the dead center front and rear sound so if someone is running around you in a circle you might hear a tiny bit of an audio jump from one speaker to the other minor. Typically in the heat of fps battle all you really need to know is the guy coming from front right, rear right, front left, or rear left and boy can you tell it. I have the full audio setup. A ps3 and 360 going to my 3d tv via hdmi and it supports hd audio as well as all dolby digital and dts. I have my tv send audio to my surround sound system, but I made my surround sound system idiot proof since my dad is remote challenged. (awful!) I have my tv do the conversions and it has a headphone jack than can send pro logic ii which is simulated surround sound and this headphone support it. If you are copying my setup you will want to buy something. Buy a little 6 foot headphone extension cable. I have mine connected to the back of my tv and comes out by my cable box with over 3 feet of slack. The end of the cable has to connect to usb and the headphone jack (or included stereo to white and red rca audio cables). Having the extension cable will allow you to connect to your tv and your system at the same time. The headphone and usb cables can only be about 6-8 inches apart so your connections have to be extremely close and that is why I need the extension. I wanted to avoid going to the back of the tv or receiver every time I wanted to use the headphones. Having that kind of setup will make you use these less. That way you can store these headphones in another location instead of having them always connected. With a little sister and rough housing friends of hers I want these headphones hidden away. These headphones have great sound quality, but there is a complaint I have about them. First, you can't hear the phone ring. Minor, but some people get mad when you don't answer. My solution, put mr. cordless next to the tv and when the phone lights up when it is ringing you can see it. Second complaint, with the way the little adapter clips to your shirt and the headset itself it is a little tricky to quickly put it away if someone knocks on the door or someone calls, minor. Third, the product feels extremely fragile. It feels like if I dropped it, put it away wrong, twisted the ear pieces a little too much it might break. Product is great, just wish it had heavier quality plastics around the headset. I've had no problems, but this is one product that I might have to re-purchase due to how fragile it is. For the average joe I would look into getting an extension cable so you can put these away unless you live by yourself. I would consider finding a storage case or a good location to store these headphones so no one drops them or sits on them. Finally, if you have a receiver or newer tv I would seriously consider getting these and saving your money from buying a 5.1 headset or the 5.1 ear force processor. I have a high end tv, speaker, and surround sound setup and the sound quality and surround sound features seem to 85-92% similar to a regular 5.1 dts or dolby digital game surround sound with my setup and these stereo headphones. That will probably get some boo's from audio fans, but it does come seriously close. With the bass feature and the surround sound boost feature on these headphones the virtual surround sound is awesome. Only on rare situations can I turn the volume up in games and my gaming chair is not dead center of my tv so the left audio is stronger than the right. Not a problem with the headphones since you are getting the full experience and at a higher volume. I was playing Halo reach and I was doing better than I normally do since I could hear where the enemies were coming from. Works awesome with both ps3 and 360. A huge plus so you don't have to buy multiple headsets. I know I am not the only one who jumps around between systems. Hard to stick with one system with games like Uncharted, Resistance, Gears of War, and Halo. Off topic. Look up "fps freaks" on desertcart. The combination of those controller modifications and these headphones doubled if not tripled my gaming performance online. I don't work for them. Just bought them with the headphones and it was a blast!
Review: Great head set - I loved this headset. I say loved because I rolled over the wires with my chair. The cords are very long so proper placement is key if you own a chair with wheels. If you sit on a couch and only use them for gaming just be wary of people stepping on them. These headphones work with PC and PS3. (Did not test on 360) The sound FOR THE BEST SOUND YOU DO HAVE TO PLUG IN THE JACK AND USB. Personally I loved the sound it gave me for video games. The louder the volume the better the sound. The added bass with the expander is very good. Specifically in MW2 and Battlefield Bad Company 2. You get the feeling of where the sound comes from in the direction it does. One of my favorite options is being able to mute people without having to actually do so yourself. There is a chat volume to turn off all other people talking. Which is fantastic because in games like MW2/Black Ops you sometimes don't want to listen to morons. For music they aren't audiophile quality but they were much better than my speakers. I would suggest if you are listening to Rock turn off the expander and adjust the bass, if you listen to Hip/Hop rap turn the bass up and the expander on. The quality of the microphone sound is just as good. It was better than my old mic which made me sound like a 13yr old boy. If you have a unique voice it seems to capture it well. The feel At first they gripped rather tightly around my head and hurt my ears. Partly because I have a piercing on my left ear. They seemed to loosen up after a bit of use. They were a little uncomfortable but once they loosen up they become pretty comfortable. Depending upon where you place the clip it can be comfortable. I placed it on my shirt and part of the cord got in my face. I would suggest putting on your pants. (Probably was meant for that anyway - didn't realize until i broke them) Cost and final thoughts For the cost, these are fantastic headphones. I only wish I didn't murder them myself. I loved the compatibly with PC which to me was the selling point. FOR THE BEST SOUND YOU DO HAVE TO PLUG IN THE JACK AND USB.

### ⭐⭐ A bit uncomfortable but it gets the job done
*by C***. on August 2, 2010*

Let me start off by saying that the PX21s have decent sound quality. Better than the TV. The build of the headset is feels pretty cheap overall. Does it feel heavy on your head? After an hour or two you will start to feel the headset clamping down on your head (mostly your ears) and you'll want to take it off. The control module (where you control the chat volume/game volume/bass/etc.) has a clip, and that pretty much snaps if you drop it, cheap. They say you won't disturb anyone while wearing these; that's only half correct. Sometimes I just use the headset for game sound instead of the TV. When you turn up the volume on the headset, others will hear it. I doesn't isolate the sound very well, even when I am wearing it. If I knew it was going to be like this I wouldn't have bought it in the first place. I think $80 dollars is a bit overpriced for the weekend gamer. Now, the sound quality? It's decent, like I said, better than the TV. If your playing a shooter game you'll be able to hear somebody sneaking up on you. The microphone boom feels very plasticy. The sound quality of the mic is once again, decent. Now let's get to the pros and cons. Pros - Decent sound quality - Decent microphone quality - Good bass... BOOM - Appealing design - You won't disturb anyone while your playing.. unless you have the volume of the headset turn all the way up - Pretty easy to set up (less than 10 minutes) - Long cords, 20 ft. + Cons - Ears hurt after about an hour (Feels like headset is clamping down on you) - Overall quality feels cheap - Microphone boom feels cheap - Sound control module clip breaks easy [UPDATE 2/14/11] The left (L) side now has no sound, this is due to bad wiring. I know this because If I bend the cables a certain way, the sound comes back and it I release it, the sound goes away. These headphones have made me better, but not by much anymore, considering that I can only hear from my right ear. I mostly use it for in-game chatting now. I wonder if this product comes with a 1-year warranty or something... I would really like that. ************************************************************************ I hope you found my review helpful. I have been using these for a few months now. Well actually, to tell you the truth, I rarely use them now. When I first bought these I used it every day and now when I wear them, it just bothers me.
