Not stinky, and the dog doesn't hate it. We have a winner!
My vet told me to put my Lab on a glucosamine regimen, so I looked at some options on Amazon, and initially purchased a different brand (Liquid Health K9 Level 5000). My dog wouldn't touch it, and within a week stopped eating completely she was so scared it might be in her dish. I didn't really blame her, it smelled horrible, and when I realized it was made from shellfish and pork, I couldn't get it out of my house fast enough. I searched for something that specifically didn't have those particular ingredients, found this, and gave it a shot. GAME CHANGER!First, this doesn't smell like roadkill. It has kind of a sweet smell, almost like honey. Second, it must taste better too. My dog still won't eat it plain or on dry food, but I mix two teaspoons of this with about 2 tablespoons of milk, and she all but inhales it. She's at the point that she bugs me if I'm late giving her a dose, so as a milkshake, it's a hit. I'm not sure how much it's really helping her underlying condition (which is mostly being a 9 year old Labrador), but along with the NSAID she's on, she's been doing much better with her mobility and general zest for life. Also, she's back to eating, which is always a good thing. I'll keep buying this. Thanks to the manufacturer for making a vegetarian supplement!

Way too much manganese
I wish we'd read the label before we ordered this. But we waited to do so until it arrived and were disappointed to see the amount of manganese listed. Manganese is a known neurotoxin once you get above trace amounts. I really don't know why our dog would require so much of it--and on a daily basis too! Once we saw that ingredient, we returned the bottle, even though we had to pay a fee to do so.

Joint care for dogs with food allergies
I am so happy to find a joint supplement that is shellfish, bovine and chicken-free. My dogs have severe allergies, are getting older and need joint care. This product gives me peace of mind and is not too expensive. In fact, I think it may be cheaper than commercial products. Thank you!

An arthritic and food sensitive dog's new best friend!
That cute rescue dog you see below, I am called Bossman. I am ten years old, but was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and arthritis at age five. Here is why my human mom bought the Vegetarian Liquid Glucosamine by Willow Farm Pets and why we both like it.1) If you are reading reviews about glucosamine, you likely already know the spiel on how great it is for helping joints. Bossman's vet recommended that he take glucosamine as soon as he was diagnosed, so he's been taking it for five years. And a picture truly is worth a thousand years. His recent hip x-rays looked really good, esp. given his age and time since diagnosis. I am a true believer in glucosamine.2) On top of arthritis, Bossman has irritable bowel disorder, food sensitivities and allergies. So basically, he can't eat things lots of normal dogs can. It is really hard to find forms of glucosamine that don't have ingredients likely to make him pukey. So I was super excited to find this supplement: no beef, no wheat, no gluten, no soy - just fabulous!3) This glucosamine is a thin, light colored liquid that you simply pour over your dog's food twice a day. Bossman had no problems eating it and even licked his bowl clean. In fairness, he also has been known to eat carpet and rabbit poop, so he may not have the most discriminating of palates.4) Liquid glucosamine can be a little tedious to administer (i.e. having to pull this out of the fridge, fish out a teaspoon, and hope for no spills). Adding a pump or even a measuring cup (like with cough syrups) would be awesome. But this liquid form is really great if you have an older dog with tooth problems (Bossman had his two biggest teeth removed after cracking them on a bone). No hard tablet or chewy treat to deal with, rather a liquid that might even soften the food a little.5) Dosage depends on size, so this bottle will last Bossman about a month and a half. Not inexpensive, but I can't really put a price on seeing him run in the yard, go for several mile walks daily, handle stairs like a champ, still jump into the car, etc. I've seen what debilitating arthritis can look like in a dog's senior years, and I want to do what I can to help Bossman avoid that and have a good quality of life.6) Speaking of quality, this supplement sure is. Made in the USA and comes safety sealed (both an outer plastic wrap and an inner seal that most definitely was sealed - took some real effort to remove it). This came with a nice long expiration date too (a little hard to read, but looks like about 2 years out).I was fortunate to receive this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review, and I take that (and my furry kids' health) seriously. My bottom line: the Willow Pet Farms Vegetarian Liquid Glucosamine is a high quality supplement that my old and food sensitive dog really needs and likes. Happy I found and bought this.
