I purchased this thinking it would be larger. Even tho I feel it is small, my backyard has a trio of woodpeckers who are easily able to get to "most but not all" of the peanuts in the shell. There are also different options I use that attracts different birds. I offer shelled peanuts, which I see tiny chickdees along large bluejays, carry off the peanuts to their tree branches farther away in my yard. I am happy with this product. The reason I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I bought it specifically for peanuts in the shell and it is too wide and not deep enough for the woodpeckers to reach all the shells and it seems a small waste. Not a lot get wasted !! but I prefer to have no waste! I do enjoy the short 2-inch basket on the bottom of it. I recommend this product.

The picture is very deceiving...the holes are too small for whole peanuts to fit through. Not sure how the birds can get them out unless there are smaller whole peanuts out there somewhere. I was going to return it since I bought it specifically to offer whole peanuts but decided to use another customer's idea of feeding fruit. Maybe it will be OK after all.

In a few months the basket fell off. The rest is ok, but, I bought it so that the shells would not get all over the lawn. The basket worked great for that. Can't even reattach it.

Sooooo tiny. Birds can't get peanuts out of this feeder.

Very unsatified with purchase. Will not buy again.
