Love it!
I choose this one over all the ones I looked at mainly because this model has a metal lever that pushes up against the diaphragm pump, and was made by the same company of the model I had for over 15 years. My neighbor just purchased a popular model made by Solo and that lever was made of plastic and it broke soon after he purchased it. They improved the strap comfort and the way it is attached to the frame, added a handle on top, added a filter that fits inside the tank, added clips for holding the sprayer wand to the pumping arm and the opening is wider. It has the same well made control with a brass wand (not plastic) and brass tip and 3 plastic head tips for spraying in a fan patternThe only thing that surprised me was that there are no marks on the side of the tank that shows the gallonage, so I will either print labels for it or use a permanent marker on the tank that shows the gallons, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.I would definitely recommend this model - a little pricy but you get what you pay for.

it looked good at first
I am posting a neutral review due to the fact I couldn't really use it. When it arrived, it looked good at first, so I put it on my back to have fun with my kids playing "bug killer man." I was shocked when I pulled the trigger that a liquid actually came out of it and got all over some clothes and my living room floor. I really hoped it was just water from testing at the factory, but I noticed the instructions said that from the factory the hose clamps are loose and the straps are not attached to the frame. Well, the hose clamps were totally tight, and the straps were already on the frame, so my best guess is someone used this thing once, tried their best to clean it up, and returned it.Needless to say I'm upset. I'm returning it, and I'm still freaked out about what might have been in it and is now in my house.Since I needed it for the weekend (and had paid extra for overnight service) I had to buy a Solo at the big box store and use it. Seemed to work fine, though I would have liked to end up the Hudson SP1 instead.

Robust sprayer - lots of pumping...
This works as advertised. I have used it with fertilizer and bug killer. It does take a lot of pumping, but its manageable unless you have maybe left shoulder or elbow problems... for me, it's a small pain.

Quality, but not the best
Built like a bull , but the pump limiter is a struggle. Requires constant pumping. Also digs into my lower back, not sure if it's the frame or the straps. Hoping it lasts at least a year in a full time small business setting.

Not as described
The description reads: 20β brass wand with adjustable brass cone pattern nozzle. Instead the wand is cheap plastic. I would not have paid this much for a plastic wand.

High quality, easy to clean
Comfortable, works great and easy to pump. It's also easy to take apart and clean, which I strongly recommend doing regularly if you're investing the money in something this nice. What's not explained very well is how best to lubricate the seals, etc. The instructions say that it should be done, for long term use and maintenance, but is vague on exactly what to use and where to apply it.

Very pleased with its performance!
Have about 8 hours of spraying with this so far and am very happy with it. Comfortable enough straps; but do wish the pads were moveable on the shoulder straps. Good pressure holding, great quality nozzles. Very pleased. Expect I will get years out of it.

Fantastic, low/no maintenance back pack sprayer
I've used this about 8-10 times from Spring through Summer for sprayer pesticides and broad leaf herbicides. It's a fantastic sprayer. It's very low/no maintenance sprayer. Clean up is simple. Just fill the tank half way and drain it. I love it.
