Comparable to First Response
My husband and I started trying to conceive our second child in October of 2015. I became pregnant right away but miscarried in December. We started trying to conceive again in February of 2016. I started out using the top three brands (Clear Blue, E.P.T., and First Response). You can get them for fairy low prices, here on Amazon, but they still get expensive when you are testing several times during a cycle. Last month, I did a search for some generic tests. I wanted something similar to the top brands in style and with pink dye. I've read that blue dyes can leave evaporation lines. I noticed that with my Clear Blue tests and, more so, with the E.P.T.'s that they did have a lot of bleeding with the blue dye. Another, generic, brand with a purple dye gave me a false positive. So, I found these test and two others that I also purchased. (I never rely on just one test. I always use two or three at a time.) You get five tests for close to the price of a two pack of the name brand tests. I would say that these are most comparable with First Response tests. The procedure is basically the same as any other test. You can either hold the absorbent tip in your urine stream or collect your urine in a cup and dip the test. Dipping is my preferred method. Dip for five seconds, then wait four minutes. One line shows up for negative and two lines for positive.I used my first test the other day. It was negative. I held on to it for several extra minutes to watch for evaporation lines and didn't see any. I got a positive this morning! I tested with two other brands and they were also positive, so I know these are accurate.

Great Value, Discreet Packaging
You receive 5 tests which are easy to use and, in my experience, accurate. The tests are easy to use, just relieve yourself, wait 4 minutes and the number of lines provide the result. (2= pregnant, 1=not pregnant)For those concerned about discretion, the tests came in a nondescript amazon box which listed a "Skincare" vendor as the seller. The pink box inside is as pictured but the individually wrapped tests were in plain white wrappers. If you were to carry just the test it would resemble a tampon. These are, of course, more expensive than the strips you buy in bulk but they are far more accurate. However, they're much more reasonable than other comparable early response tests. All in all, it's a great value and I'm quite satisfied with my purchase.

Seriously, don't buy it!
I've used other pregnancy tests just like this and they all worked just fine. I'm planning to have a baby this year, so I decided to give this one a shot simply because it's cheaper and has more sticks. But it's just crap. None of the sticks worked and I tried four of them. Once you're done "wetting" it, in two/three sec, you'll see this pink flood climbing up the test window and then the whole stripe becomes pink and you will never be able to see the results. I'll probably attach a pic when I try the last one, but I'm pretty sure they are all the same crappy thing. DO NOT BUY!

Definitely the value brand
When I tried to just do this "in stream" it didn't work. I had to go on it several times before the test actually gave me a read out. So, if at first you don't get a result, you can try to use it again. I've used dozens of these over the years and this was probably the most finicky test I've ever tried. I've never had an issue with off brands purchased in the store, before, so this was kind of weird. It works, and the read out was clear, but I don't think I would buy again.

This did not give me an early reading. One ...
This did not give me an early reading. One week before my missed period this came up as negative while another test came up faint positive... A few days later I tested again and got two full on positive from other test and this was a very faint positive... I just know when you have been trying you don't want a line that makes you wonder and this did make me wonder which lead to me buying more of other brands...

Ehh, read for correct instructions.
For those saying they had faulty tests that didn't work, these are like the older versions, pee on it/dip in a cup and than put the cap on. Hit it on your hand like nail polish and it will start working. I swear by it.These are surely not for early detection.5 stars if you take the day of your expected period.3 stars other wise because they won't show up until after you have missed a period.

Used all 5 and all came out positive
My fiancé and I wanted to have a baby and I decided to use this test to see if I was pregnant and took all 5 of the tests just to be certain. I now have a 6 month old boy. I'm so happy I took this test.

Faulty and off-center
I tested 5 days before, 4 days before and 2 days before my expected period and all came back negative. I then tested on the day after my missed period and it was off-centered and looked defective (but there was a very faint line). I tested later that night with my last test and it was again completely off-centered in the test strip.I got a dollar store test the next morning and got an obvious positive. Won't be buying these again.
