It is very unclear in the Raymarine manuals, but if you are connecting two MFDs, and only two MFDs together, this is the cable you need. If you are connecting more units, then you need to connect a different way using some sort of hub. I guessed on this purchase, and it worked out to be the correct cable.

Arrived right on time and was exactly what I needed to complete a NMEA 2000 network for my sonar hub and external GPS antenna and heading sensor.
