HV-16WC Summer Jacket for Solar Blanket/Reels, 16', White

Fits my cover on my reel very well. Wish the velcro was a little better or included some velcro straps to wrap around the jacket to help keep it on incase of storms, etc.

This product is not as described. I ordered this at twice the price of others because 90% of the respondents replied "yes" to the question, "Is the velcro sown on?". The answer is a definite "NO!" It comes with velcro strips that have to be stuck on the product. Too poor of quality for the price I paid.

Not worth it, buy the cheaper one at half the price. I bought this one in 2016 it has sewn Velcro and was fine it fit and did the job. Over the winter when the cover was on 100% of the time I believe the OCD hubs tossed it unknowingly. This summer I went back and re ordered it was sticker-shocked to see it is 2X as expensive as others but thought after reading reviews I didn't want to hassle with stick on Velcro or shoddy craftsmanship. I already knew what i was getting i bought it last year. NOPE this year I opened it and little strips of Velcro start falling out and it thin and I don't even think it will fit around my pool cover. Nor is there any way the Velcro will withstand more than a couple open and closing the cover. Plus, if I have to be satisfied with this garbage I will be satisfied with it at half the price.

Used this end of last season and so far all this summer. We live in Missouri with high humidity most of summer. Cover is a verb thin weaved plastic with Velcro stitched the length of it. Our pool is 16x32 and there is about. 2 inch lack of coverage on each end but that doesn't seem to be an issue. The cover gaps once it is closed as the roll isn't as thick as the circumference of the cover so I just used two tarp straps to cinch it at both ends. Have to release collected water every now and again if not using it but again no big deal. It's starting to fray on the ends due to heat it seems as we have left it out so far this season. Velcro has held up good though. While this isn't a thick cover, it seems to meet the needs and at the cost of $34-we'll probable have to replace it by or during next years summer. Was the best I could find so would purchase again unless something better showed up.

Not long enough to cover an actual 16 foot wide solar cover. Probably missing 3 - 6 inches of required width. Plenty of room to wrap around a rolled up cover though. Even a very thick one like what I have (14 mil). I wasnt happy with the amount of solar protection. Upon unrolling the cover in the early evening all the solar cover in the reel is very hot. I'm sure it provides some solar protection, so if UV is the killer for solar covers, this probably does the job. However, I'm concerned about the heat build up. I also bought a thicker winter cover that I might try next year as the summer cover to see if it helps.It goes on and comes off easy. It uses velcro which appears to be sewed on well. I never worry about the wind blowing the cover off. This has enough velcro on it to keep the cover on.

I bought this cover 6 months ago and have waited on writing a review until I had it for a few months. I threw it in the garbage today. The sides and ends were all frayed and litter the area with shredded plastic. When you fold it up after each use it looks like it snowed. I should have known it was junk when I first got it because the Velcro they give you to attach to the tarp would not even stick when it was brand new. This is nothing more than those blue tarps you can buy (only white) and cut into the size that they are selling.

Our pool is 16' in width and as we roll our solar cover we stop and straighten it out and normally we get it to 1-2 inches from perfect. This cover does not cover the entire width leaving 1-2 inches exposed on an end. While I like the concept this is not perfect. I will have to use a piece of the cheap white plastic that comes with the solar cover to protect the exposed end. I would like to see this cover 4 inches longer to protect the ends more and allow for imperfect roll on reel9/22/16 update: Over the summer my husband and I rolled our solar cover as snug and as straight as possible and this jacket never covered the entire width. I hade to cover the exposed area with the cheap plastic cover that comes with the solar cover and that was a nuisance especially on a day with a little wind. If you have a 16' wide pool buy a size up.
