Spotted mouse droppings in the garage, put the trap ...
Spotted mouse droppings in the garage, put the trap up for 2 months without any success. I used butter and peanuts as bait. However, the mouse dropping stopped, maybe it scared the mouses away. I gave it 3 stars since I still do not know if it will kill a mouse, but it does help get the problem solved.

Best. Trap. Ever.
Oh. My. Goodness. This trap actually works! I have a definite rat problem... like very bad. I've used similar battery-operated electronic traps and they worked - but I would often find the food gone with no dead rat :( With this one I am catching 2 or 3 a day (yes my rat problem is that bad). Works excellent - even after my son-in-law dropped it. Comes apart easily to clean. Definite recommendation from this customer!

As you can see in the picture, it leads ...
As you can see in the picture, it leads you to believe that there is an AC adapter (one would presume that you wouldn't need batteries). It takes C Batteries and doesn't come with an AC adapter. The light blinks with nothing inside the trap which makes me think that the little guys walk in the trap, get hot feet and walk out. Possibly triggering the light. I don't know. No I wouldn't buy this trap again.

The rat walked in, got shocked, ran out!
This device works- but not as specified. The rat walked in, got shocked, ran out! We even heard the sizzle and pop but no rat was killed. We are keeping it to see if it works with mice but still unhappy with the rat problem, and this is one more device that didn't work as promissed.

Didn't work for me ..
The rodents ate the baits without getting harmed. I returned it.

Didn't work at all. We tried peanut butter, crackers, jerky, and cheese. The old wooden traps did a better job. We ended up getting a cat and having a professional help find and block their entries. :/

unit failed after a few hours of indoor use.

Very good trap
Exactly as advertised. Kills those rats DEAD! Very effective. Works well on both plug-in and battery. One small issue, it can be troublesome to bait.
