TreeHaus LumberJax Log Set

We had purchased this set for one of our grandchildren in the past and this year we were with two of our grandsons so we bought a set for each of them. They love them I remember the old Lincoln Logs sets when I was a child and loved building things. These are excellent quality and allow the children to build with their imagination. Great set!!!

ThiS product has a toxic smell. I felt sick after a few minutes being exposed to it. The wood is still moist with oil. I tried airing it out since my daughter likes building things before but the smell is worrying. Fume can't be good. Don't buy.

i think these are great. I received an old used set that are "knock offs" of lincoln logs, and these are much nice, bigger. I lke that they have a flat side to keep them from rolling. Lots of long pieces too.

We were given this as a Christmas present for our kids in 2011. When we opened the box we noticed a strong offensive smell. There appears to we an oil and or chemical soaked into the wood. Being from China, I can only imagine what this substance is. We have thrown this toy away because we don't want to donate something so horrible to any charity.

This is a great play set. Bought it for my daughter since she was 6 yrs. old and now she is 8 and still love playing with this! My husband also enjoys playing with it together with her! Very sturdy and will probably last a lifetime! I am sure her children will play with it one day to come! Ours was not oily as the other review claimed. I believe that they just happened to get a set that was not dried properly! Don't let that stop you from getting it!

My 3 1/2 year old son loves blocks. He loves to have me read him the directions for this "General Store" set and he loves to make up his own buildings with it. Fortunately our set was not oily or greasy like other reviews have complained about, and based on our experience I would feel comfortable purchasing other sets.

My daughter received this for a gift, two months later the box was greasy and the paper / cardboard sign had disintegrated into a slurry of grease. I thought it might be a freak occurrence until I looked here and saw other reviews which said the same thing. Do NOT buy.

My wife bought this for our son's birthday. The pieces are all coated in an oil that is still wet. The inside of the box is oil stained. The instructions are oil stained. The silica gel package is oil stained. The oil comes of on your hands. We quickly picked the pieces up off the carpet(!) and washed our hands. My guess is that the oil is an oil-based wood stain that wasn't dried properly.
