It is very comfortable , and provides good neck support. You can use it as your only thing between you and the beach sand , and have your head propped up comfortably.Or you can do as I do put it down on a lounge chair on the pool deck . MY only complaint is there is no flap to overlay the back of the chair to keep it in place.
