HipSlimmer is a post-pregnancy compression corset designed to help you return to your pre-pregnancy size. Hormones released during pregnancy cause your hips to expand for childbirth. These hormones remain elevated after delivery leaving the joints of your hips malleable. HipSlimmer, when worn after pregnancy, applies pressure directly to your hips and may help your hips return to their pre-pregnancy size. HipSlimmer was developed exclusively by us and is the only post-pregnancy "hip-slimming" compression corset available. Get back into your jeans faster with HipSlimmer! HipSlimmer is worn over comfortable undergarments for a few hours a day during the first couple of months following delivery. The ideal time to wear the Hipslimmer is after you have recovered from your delivery and are not experiencing any pain. Do NOT wear the corset while pregnant.

No mom jeans for me!
I gave birth 12 weeks ago. I measured my hips after I gave birth and they were 39 inches around. For the 8 weeks postpartum I wore either this OR the hip shrinx (I found the hip shrinx worked better during the day because I could walk - but I used this at night - well what night I had with a newborn :-)). Today, I am back in my pre-pregnancy skinny jeans (size 28) and my hips are 35 inches around. They are not tight - they fit exactly the same. So that's a loss of 4 inches. I am exercising and breastfeeding but that isn't going to slim your hips bones. My mom and my sister both wear larger pants sizes after giving birth. I am not smaller after birth (I think that's just a fantasy because you can't shrink your skeleton) but I am exactly the same size I was before I was pregnant and my pants fit exactly the same way they did 10 months ago.So physically I noticed a few things. After birth my hips were kind of tipped out a bit and due to this they are back to straight and narrow. That said, this is NOT the most comfortable thing in the world. It took a big effort to get me in this and my husband had to assist with it. I couldn't walk around with this and I would typically only wear it for 2 -4 hours at a time because what woman has a normal night's sleep after giving birth to a baby? So I would put it on, get a tad bit of sleep and then get up to feed the bundle. Then I would put the hip shrinx on.It would hurt a bit. The other thing was I had numbness in my leg because of the epidural. This did not help that. It's all gone now and I just dealt with it but it was not a comfortable 8 weeks. I could feel this working, so it just says that it does work. I would use this to shrink the hips and the hip shrinx to hold them in place. If I have another kid, I am going to use this again. It's worth the investment in the time and effort because I don't want to buy a whole new wardrobe. Did I like wearing this? No. It was miserable and I often felt it was some sort of medieval torture device. But it's a small, small period of your life and it's over quickly. Would I give this as a baby shower gift? Oh heck no. Some of my friends don't seem to care about their hips after the birth. But I guess that if you are reading this- you do. And you should just invest in it and suck it up for 8 weeks. You won't regret it.

I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight and all the pants that couldn't close before (at the same weight) now close fine. I DID end
This product worked really well for me. After my first baby, even when I lost the pregnancy weight, I couldn't close half of my pants because my hips were still wide. So after my second baby, I decided to use this corset. I wasn't able to wear it TOO much since the effective window is the hardest with a newborn. I probably ended up wearing it between 4-8 hours a day (only at night). It worked extremely well. I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight and all the pants that couldn't close before (at the same weight) now close fine. I DID end up using a small, even though according to the size chart I would have been a medium. The medium would not have worked as well at all.

I love it!!!
As a physical therapist the hip corset make lot of sense. I used it for vanity and it worked. I had a c-section, I waited about 2 and a half weeks before I started using it, about 2-4 hours at night. I didn't need my husband to tighten the laces for me, it wasn't a problem to do it myself. Soon enough I tightened the medium size all the way (I was size 8 prepregnancy) so I went on and bought the small. I stopped using it after few weeks when I had discomfort in my pelvic (my SI joint), and I understood that what I accomplished was enough. I can squeeze in my old pants (yey), they still don't fit because of the love handles I need to shed, but I'm thrilled to get my hips back!I gave both (medium and small) to a friend who just had a baby, she loves it too. After a week of use you can see the results on her.

It works!
Just like other reviews said, this is not comfortable. However, it WORKS!! I started to wear it 2 months after I give birth and I wear it every night about 4 hours. After 2 months wearing it, even though I still have 15 lb need to lose, my hip size come back to my pre-pregnancy size! I wish it could be a bit more comfortable though....

Gets loose very quickly
My husband bought this for me after I gave birth. I found this product gets loose fairly easily. It requires constant tightening. I even had my husband tightening for me, but it still got loose after a few minutes. The effect wasn't as great as others described, too.
