Nice, loud, easy-to-use phone - recommended!
Just what we needed! It solved some problems with a family member not being able to hear the phone ring, or hear the person calling when they answered it. Just what we were after, and at a very reasonable price. We swapped in a SIM from another O2 phone and there were no problems at all.Highly recommended.

Ideal senior phone but has a small memory
I purchased this for my mum who has severe arthritis, which means she needs a mobile with big buttons. Her previous mobile which was a Big Button Easy to Use Senior Mobile had packed up & i couldnt find the exact same phone, so i thought i would get this for her as it was a good price & appeared to be very similar to her last phone. The buttons are large & the screen is clear & it also has "speaking number buttons" which is ideal for the visually impaired to help them make a call. It also has an sos button, which is ideal for an older person & very easy to set up & can give their family peace of mind that the sos is there if needed. The memory is very small so you do need to delete messages very regularly & the battery also needs charging more often that a lot of these types of mobiles. But its a plain & simple mobile with a selection of ringtones & a good volume. If my mum "a complete technophobe" can use this phone, then anyone can get to grips with it lol.

Great emergency mobile
Fantastic mobile for a senior person. This is so easy to use and has no fiddly buttons. It also comes with cradle charger so no need to unplug tight charger wires. Great idea to have emergency button on the back which you can program to text then call stored number when pressed Incase of an emergency

A Phone That Doesn't Work, And £10 Credit That Vodafone Won't Accept
I rarely write reviews, but I am so upset I feel that I have to. I purchased this mobile phone for my parents, who can't handle anything vaguely technical. I also needed to purchase a sim card so when I saw this I thought it was ideal. Well, the phone took about a week or so to arrive. The instructions to assemble it were really simple, but when I put the phone on to charge...nothing happened. I was a little worried, but thought, 'OK, I'll wait a little longer.' When the phone screen remained blank, I tried charging it on the phone dock. Still nothing. I contacted TTfone's customer service via email, and they were pretty quick to respond, giving me a list of troubleshooting options. Even though I'd tried them already, I gave it another shot. But even after supposedly charging up all night, the phone remained dead the next morning. It showed NO sign it was being charged, or had finished charging. The screen remained absolutely blank. It wouldn't switch on, regardless of how long I pressed the red 'On' button for. I'm assuming that the battery I received was a dud?I asked TTfone for a refund, and they provided a link to a pre-paid label to print off, and when I told them I don't have a printer, they gave me a returns address which I have to pay, and then told me to send them the postage receipt so they could refund that also.I ordered a mobile phone from a different company which happily worked. However...when it came to topping up using the top up voucher I received from TTfone, Vodafone wouldn't recognise the top up number, no matter how many times I keyed it in. The automated voicemail just says "Sorry, we didn't get that. Please key in your 12 digit top up number." I tried again. And again. Nope, Vodafone won't recognise the number.I don't know if I was just unlucky, but on the whole, this has been a pretty awful experience. I don't know what to make of this, but I can't help feel I've been scammed. Merry Christmas to me!

Everything You Need for a Senior or the Digitally-Challenged
My brother-in-law is old but not that old. But he is digitally-challenged, hard of hearing, and wears glasses. This cellphone is perfect. The buttons are large enough so that he doesn't make mistakes dialing. The volume is loud enough [and adjustable] that he doesn't miss a call. And the functions like speakerphone or text, are easy to use. This phone doesn't have all the bells and whistles that some cellphones have but it is perfect for a senior or somebody like my brother-in-law.

A disappointment.
I bought this for an elderly relative, but it has been a disappointment. It has two features that are a real pain.First of all, it has an automatic keyboard lock feature, a good idea perhaps for some people, but a nuisance for others. And switching this feature off isn't easy - I had to struggle for about half an hour!Secondly, after unlocking the keyboard, the most likely key you will want to press next to start dialling a number is of course zero (0). But if you press the 0 key after unlocking, it isn't registered the first time round; you have to press it a second time before anything happens! This is just the kind of thing to confuse an elderly person. Incidentally, all other keys (apart from 0) work fine after unlocking, but they are not the ones you probably want to press.I phoned TTfone Customer Services, and the guy I spoke to thought the second issue was probably a fault. He told me to send the phone back, which I did. It was returned with a note saying there was nothing wrong with the item, which means that the problem with the zero key is inherent.Overall, I'm unimpressed. There are definitely better products of this type on the market.
